it is an alto-flute in G, it is tuned lower than the standard C flute, so it is longer

the flute is by Opera (I don't know this name before I buy this flute) it's the cheapest alto flute I found and you can fell this playing it! It's not very amazing but it sounds... it's enough for me ;)

you can found all you need on IMSLP petrucci music library for free, the score is for violin but it can be played on the flute easily

I agree with annabanana here with your breathing; whenever i have to perform (which i absolutely HATE) i tighten up my stomach for the first few bars to make sure i push all the air out of my lungs and so i dont overbreathe. I'm not sure if this is a good technique but it seems to work for me :) if you strictly control your breathing for the first few seconds, your body normally calms down and regulates itself :)
well done though, you did a really good version :) Now i want an alto flute... :P

Someone else was saying it looked like a C flute. What I meant when I replied was that it might seem that way to them because we are used to seeing women with rather shorter arms play the C flute.
I play the standard C flute from the age of 12; at 16 I stardted to play the piccolo and now the Alto also. The next will be the Bass... thanks

it's like the difference beetween oboe and english-horn. imagine this canon played on 3 e.h. I think it would be beautyfull!
on werner icking urtext edition there are 27 verses. I played them all, but often you can hear abridged versions, cutting some verses (i don't know which verse is better to cut)

i do too, my freind plays a alto piccolo and flute and my other friend plays clarinet and alto i only play the flute going to play an alto though good job on the song that song is kinda hard for me

as someone who has never played the flute, as with most complex works of music, i look at the minor "chords" as "intentional" even if they aren't. I'm not about to confront someone about their playing if i'm not better than them.

I am playing at my cousins wedding next month and i am having trouble finding the music for this song and the one from a mid summers night dream after the bride and groom are married. I was wondering if you know any good websites that offer free music and or any good stores that would have them for a cheap cost!

thatt is really kewl :) i've tried recording multiple parts on flute and trying to put them together but it always gets out of sync and one is always slightly faster or slower ... do you have any tips
