If your fishing for them you catch them lol you can find youtubers that's catch 5 or 6 a day.
If you have a slight idea of what you are doing they are not hard to catch
@@Ethan-qe8pe that’s not true at all. Cool u got lucky and caught a few but the most experienced Muskie anglers even have said it’s the fish of 10000 casts. It’s incredibly hard to fish for if your fishing for big boys like this because it’s a giant ass bait and it’s heavy as fuck. Go watch uncut angling and tell me musky fishing is easy lmao. Musky up here in northern Ontario and Manitoba are a different game
@@nolanbatko4527 I never said musky fishing was easy, I said if you have a slight idea of what you are doing they are not hard to catch. Throwing a bigg ass musky lure when your tires isn't the easiest but there are people who do much harder things in this world.

That spot you caught your fish on is directly behind my parents house. I remember seeing you on the river that morning, my pickup was the Black Tundra in the video. I’d actually just got done fishing that spot just before you caught this fish. I ended up releasing a 38 incher later that evening just downriver of there in the same stretch.

Hey Jon, you should make a trip up to northern Wisconsin in the Hayward area. Lots of lakes up there with huge musky to be caught. Would make for a good video. Tip- the Chippewa flow age is very good for musky. World records have been caught from there.

You NEED a wire trace. It’s not a choice. You’re gonna kill fish and lose lures.
They're using fluorocarbon leaders. This is very common musky fishing.
@@brendanspencer2550 I know, I’m an experienced pike angler in the UK. Flouro doesn’t stand a chance against a 30+ Musky/Pike and its teeth if it’s deep hooked.
@@liammurphy6063 Disagree strongly. They are using higher than 130-200 lb (guess based on thickness) fluorocarbon. These leaders will handle any musky. I personally use 60-80 fluoro for half pike fishing... Aka tiger musky.
@@brendanspencer2550 If you’ve never experienced it then I can understand why you’d trust it but I’ve witnessed pikes teeth cut through 100lb fluoro with ease. (When deep hooked). So I personally always go for a fine wire trace.
@@liammurphy6063 I can't get wire leaders 18" or higher so I use fluoro and make my own. I have personally talked to guys who have caught 40-50" tigers on 80lb fluoro.

I caught my first ever muskie three days ago on a kayak.34 inches caught on the Googan grande banger. It was such a surprise and the fucking best fight I've ever had. His head couldn't even fit in my net... i cant believe my 30lbs braid didn't snap or my 7foot medium heavy rod survived. Really is the highlight of my summer now. Looking forward to the rest of the Maine vids!!
