The writers forgot what a Rookie is; someone new, learning, motivated but still unsure of themselves, discovering the difference between Academy and Real life. trying to balance this new career and ultimately lifestyle.
The Rookie Feds = "I'm top, no one can touch me, and I'm going to do what i want to do....as a new hire" Which brings a bigger question. If the LAPD Rookies can be fried for almost anything, but the Fed Rookies are running around running amuck without consequences???? Maybe we should defund the FBI.

Interesting to say since there are just no older actors or actresses playing in these types of roles. Really. Oh n like she was the only older actor on the set. Just say what you really wanna say. But wait that wld be considered Racial profiling. So instead we gonna just scur the lines. Still operating in a broken system. Heat was with older actors or loud actors but I guess that's acceptable 😮 go figure.

Unfortunately it is, I finished season 6 a few weeks ago and was sad with how quick it ended. The storylines are not memorable at all and they lack an emotional element, the main character is very annoying. Everyone seems so unbelievable except maybe their boss Garza. I finished the show while struggling and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I was so happy that the eps in the Rookie ended with Niecy Nash. I just found her really anyoing. But stil tried the first ep of the rookie feds but couldn't watch it longer then 10min. Mrs Nash was great in The Jeffrey Bamher story because she had a normal voice. Instead of the overacting voice in the rookie.
she can soften up her voice? what a bad call for the director of this show , or whoever , said to use the whale call voice.

She was pretty good in the episode in The Rookie as kind of comedy relief but seriously, it’s not even believable that someone like her could make it into the FBI unit that actually goes out to do field work. If she have to chase down criminals, with those poor extra high heels she wears, she’ll need 2 guys running alongside her to keep her from tipping over…. They better be praying for a miracle cause I don’t think this show would last too long…
totally agreed. i don't know how the 16 co-producers and 6 executive producers did not see these huge gaps of believability. Brooklynn was a farce but they never pretended to be a real cop show.

Agreed. Hubby is a first responder, his old partner had GG size breasts and it was required she be professional and presentable while working. She wore 2 sports bras layered to keep them secured so she could do her job. No way an fbi agent dressing like she's hitting a casting couch on RUclips is realistic or functional!! Nauseating to say the least

Why does it have to be about race..? The fact she sucked on the rookie should of been enough to cancel the show after the first season I hope…..her loud mouth drives me nuts..

Seriously who is going to buy her as an agent???? Her performance comes off as acting a character, like Sophia Bush in Good Sam. I will be surprised if this show gets a second season.
i'll be surprises if the show runs 11 episodes. if it does it's because nathan fillion is one of the dozens of producers and ABC is appeasing a whim of his . more than 2 or 3 producers is always a bad sign.
She was awesome in The Rookie!! So glad she did well enough to get her own show, loving this The Rookie Universe
She was awful. I had to skip all scenes with her. Her writing was cringeworthy, more like Madea joins the FBI instead of an educated woman joining a highly trained group.

This is the looks like the dumbest thing since “Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot.” It also reassures me that I made the right choice cancelling cable. Network shows are so bland, predictable, safe and cliché.

Saw the first episode. I really wanted to enjoy it because Nancy has amazing curves. I am a pig so I enjoy things like that. However the show is just utterly boring and unbelievable. There is no way that her character ever qualified for field work and no one would be intimidated by her interrogating them. Writing is boring and predictable. Other characters are disposable. The next episode could literally have every other character in the show be killed and it would make no difference since there is no chemistry between anyone on the show.

Sorry she drove me nuts when she was a guest on the rookie, her over the top fake acting sucks, I’d rather drink battery acid than watch a whole show based around her..if she could simply tone it down enough to even act like a cop, never mind a fed, maybe I’d watch it..

So, I'm in season 5 of The Rookie, and then I'm watching this, will see what happens, but my honest opinion would be after three episodes, if it works for me, it works.

i'm so confused.... i never remember her appearing in the Rookie.. from wgich season did she show up... i have to apologize... i am a viewer from the overseas (Philippines) and i can't really remember her .... i am currently watching S5 ep10.... and the intro said ... previosly from the rookie and the rookie feds.... i had to dig it... now i am more confused lol
she appeared in episodes 19 and 20 of season 4 of The Rookie
just watched opening episode - hope this doesn't replace the original Rookie. i didn't care for it. the leading actress - a little goes a long way.. she has a really strong presence and it's just too much of her. could be her voice ..not really sure but i didn't like her the longer the show went on. she's in 98% of the scenes - maybe in the upcoming episodes the spotlight isn't on her so much and they concentrate on the show instead.
one thing that made the original "rookie" good was the big cast and many people getting pieces, some big, of the screen with fillion (sp?) getting the most, but he wasn't in every scene and he doesn't come on too strong. he's an executive producer for that show so he knows what made the "rookie" work - he should or maybe just the luckiest guy on camera.
i'm hoping someone from the show. .producer and/or minion - just a monitor of these sites for the first little bit to get input from viewers. they've shot probably the whole season but they can juke the editing and make some changes... editing is more that half of what makes something good or bad. i'm a retired producer.. and i know nobody asked me, nor cares probably.
it'll be interesting to see what others post....

Yes it's so refreshing to see someone so cocky and reckless as a rookie. Everyone above her feels the same way.
The Rookie has lost its way a bit, but the two backdoor pilot episodes for this were the worst I have seen, maybe with the exception of The Knock. The overbearing character at the centre of the show flattens everything around her, and is utterly unbelievable. Difficult as it sometimes is to suspend disbelief in lower-grade Hollywood series, almost all other instances are a cakewalk compared to Simone and Enervo, and I shudder to think of what an entire series of this would be like. I was sick of the character within moments of her getting out of the car after the initial driving test scene. I found skip tracer Randy already a bit too much, but Long Shot was likeable in comparison to this drivel, and, while many people seem to have issues with the two reality TV episodes of the Rookie (Real Crime and its predecessor, of which I do not remember the name), all other Rookie episodes bar those beat the two backdoor pilot episodes on the IMDB ratings hands down, and deservedly so.
And no, even if this series is meant to be light comedy entertainment, it does not work with such an egocentric, "look-at-me", "I am always right" and "I find all the clues" central character. The best thing about the two backdoor pilot episodes was Kat Foster as SA Fox (will there be a SA Dana, too?), and she apparently got out before the main show started, so good on her!

I haven’t watched this show yet but from reading the comments, doesn’t the show not even align with the rooking universe? Like even if it’s blatantly fake, the rookie had the characters have to work up. You can’t just pop right on out from training and instantly be in the fbi, one has to work for it.

Claws was a fun show...it just needed better marketing. The comedy and acting in that show was great. They could have given me 2 more seasons of that. SOmething like could work but they can't be taking themselves seriously and they'd need some good comedy writers. As well as someone who knows how to do good action to mix. If the jokes as soft and the action light weight then it won't work.

I just came across the Rookie Feds. Its harmless & simple story lines. But the character "Special Agent Simone Clark" , with her double ZZ cups on display & in her very own words: ' own it born this way' , is a tad ridiculous.

I get the idea but this just seems like a spin off that maybe had potential but turned way to much into a comedy. Probably woulda been a hit if it was on it's own and a bit more exaggerated with more room to work to really be a comedy if that makes sense idk.

I watch several epidsodes and each time I think: no it isn’t what you expect. It’s not real as if 2 people starting to work for the feds are suddenly the stars of the team and working in sometimes dangerous surroundings. No itsn’t for real. Who wrote those scripts? It’s awfull just like Dr. Bull.
This almost makes The Equalizer watchable. Almost.
Wow this tv show was awesome. Too bad some people didn't see the benefit of having this show renewed. So it's replaced instead of being in tangent with the rookie TV show. Could hv such great possibilities n way more options. But it seems that the cast from the rookie feds was bn hated on. I'm sure if it was a different cast, it probably most likely wld still be airing. It's like how there were 4 NCIS or CSI's shows. And even tdy we can revamp the CSI's Investigation tv shows, but hmm, this tv show The Rookie Feds didn't mk the cut really. Call it what it is a broken system still at play.

Another FBI show that is so fictitious that it goes beyond humor. They need a show that shows the F.B.I. for what it is. An organization that is nothing more than America's Gestapo, will they have any shows showing them harassing parents of school children that don't want their children indoctrinated in what ever passing fad the school boards want to force on the children ? Will they have any shows that show them building fictitious cases against political opponents and lying to judges to get warrants that they know will never hold up but that they can get away with doing because they are doing the wishes of Big Brother ? Will they ever show that the F.B.I. has become nothing but a political arm of the Government and wasting time and recourses on politics rather than doing the job they were created to do ? I think not.

You've clearly never worked with the fbi firsthand on anything. They helped investigate a florida teacher trying to human traffic my child and others who were storm victims, a furniture company scamming hundreds of thousands online from people and a creep that hacked my webcam and other womens and posted photos online. They help nail sickos hurting multiple victims across state lines. Stop watching Faux news and check back into reality. Btw that teacher was fired, we got our money back and the creep I mentioned was busted and arrested in Oklahoma so I'm very pleased with their work. I have a cousin that worked at the Pentagon 30+ years before retiring and I'm married to a 911 first responder with 25 years in the field who's an FTO. Come visit, you can do a ride along and have some serious doses of reality there honeybunch. You have no idea what they see and what you don't know, be glad for that
