I have the same phone. I dropped it in water and the water got between layers of LCD SCREEN. Now the LCD has weird vertical lines and its cloudy. Phones screen is pretty much unusable. I think i just need a new display. Luckily this is an easy phone to dissemble and repair.

Dropped mine too. It won’t turn on or charge at all. I did open up the phone and saw a diod with pins on it right beside the metal casing of the processor that had corrosion on it. Cleaned it up good and still won’t work. So I’m thinking I might need to change the diod

I wish you were here .. all shop here said my phone need LCD replacement and it was expensive..but i just bring my phone home.. and to my surprise from black out screen after 8 days my phone display show up again. I check the camera and it was still clear battery and some main sensor wer all fine. But the screen touch.. i need to put my one finger to the left side of the screen so i can scroll and click again the home screen.. that is one way the screen will be responsive. TT

I also encountered this kind of problem and i fixed the way i bought new phone.
i rinsed my A14 5g to clean up the oill... but water got inside the lcd. the water darkened some pwrt of the screen.. then eventually screen glitched and wont turn on anymore. right now its nearly 2 days burried in Silica Gel.should i still try this after silica gel treatmenr? also it kinda smells like glue chemical and some little burn when i tried to open the phone with lcd broken...

@Dm Repire, i have a samsung S9 plus, water penetrated, the display screen is not working pefectly, when i place the brightness at the lower side the screen seems stable, when i place the brightness at the top the screen display seems stable but when i place it at the middle it begins to fluctuate, i was told by a technician that i need to change the screen, its quite expensive here to chsnge the screen, what do you think i should do.

Hello, DM tech. Thanks for the tutorial, i was able to successfully open up my phone and clean out the corrosion successfully without any problems following your steps, but unfortunately even after a thorough cleaning the display still isnt working. What do you recommend i do now?

I have the very exact same phone,I bumped it slightly then pink vertical lines appeared,though I can't tell the extent of damage coz the touch works normal only the display seems to be the issue, so do I have to buy a new LCD screen or could it be there is weak connection causing the faulty display??

@@so_rare_SV if you see some pink vertical lines.. its done for good, lcd is dammaged, thats unrepairable.
thats a broken lcd. only way is to buy a new lcd if you want it gone. same as my phone there are black green blue Red Pink Lines after dropping my old phone.

Yes, data remains. If the motherboard is changed, then that wipes all of the data and the phone will work like brand new.
Before you take the phone frame off there is orange tape thing, if that is damage does it matter?

Actually, if your phone hardly pull down water and you will take long days to repair dissemble phone and LCD it will hard to save your Phone Screen. But you can try to open LCD and clean or change LCD Connector base

@@DMRepairTech I was using some saliva at the charging port to charge the phone because it has some charging issue and after my phone was having light fully dim flickering so I went scared and then I went to sleep and when I woke up my phone is working but screen is totally black

The screen was black for the first days but after that it dried op. It works just fine now ,but only the touch does not work. If i use a mouse on the phone i can do anything.

@@rishanohapdoel6311 Try separating the LCD (AMOLED) from the frame, you might find some corossion at the connectors. Carefully brush it off with some isopropyl alcohol or gasoline(not cooking gas) if you don't have iso. And be careful because separating the screen from the frame is a very delicate process, 1 small mistake and everything is ruined. I would recommend watching some tutorial videos on how to separate it from the frame before attempting to do it yourself

and the only problem is that the screen became very dim/ dark that it becomes very difficult to see (can still see but very very difficult)
