- In 2003 37717 was sent down to bank the Margam to Corby loaded steel coil, with 60045 on the front and 37717 at the rear it proved to be very loud with plenty of thrash enjoy.
Due to Covid19, my neighbours get to hear this vid quite often now.
Even better with my subwoofer on full.
the person holding the camera should hold it more steaderly less movement or use a tripod.
This has got to be one of the best vids on 37s. I'm guessing you enjoyed that run up the bank !! Continual Effin Thrash !! C'mon !!! I did/said same as you when my mate took me from, Shrewsbury to Dee Marsh. Coming back via Crewe. Summer night, all windows open , both engine room doors open, 37213 screaming on full chat !!! Nouse !!! Not noise, Fucking Music. An they get paid for it Lol.
No wonder my Dad was deaf in his later years. BR man 44yrs, love him.
Keep it up.
These new loco's, got no style.
37s got the look And sound awesome.
Thanks for posting.
I wanted to hear more cab chit chat and whether things worked out with the rubery woman🤣
“Continual f*cking thrash!” Love it.
Thanks, and yes we try to treat them well most of the time but at the top of the Lickey its straight off the power and onto the loco brake as there is a quick stop after the sand drag.
37/7 heavyweight thrash! EE 12CSVT music 🎉😊
Do you have to isolate your TPWS when you're on the back banking? Thinking of signal grids etc.
Crickey those English Electric v12’s are on full chat and the train is not much above walking pace!, awesome.
At least he didn’t have to get out and push 😆
There’s nothing in the world that comes close to a 37 at full tilt and under maximum load except the RR Merlin. Music to the ears both!
Sounds like you all had fun, I'd love to do this..
An old lady of 55 shouldn't have to take that sort of abuse!
Smashing vid by the way ! :)
How much weight?
AWESOME VIDEO lads and im hooked on the class 37,s thrash from james freeman in oxford
Awesome stuff. Subscribed
Be nice to your engine - come of the power one notch at a time over half a minute or so if you have time - especially when it's been really working.....
Liked and subscribed. How did you manage to get a cab ride?
Im guessing it was filmed by the second man\drivers assistant
How much weight??
I have the weight written down somewhere but mislaid some of my old railway books so will update when I find them think it was about 1800-1900 tons
Ok,fair play to it. I thought a 60 would have managed that alone, but obviously not if you were there! :)
You must have been close to wheelspinning - but it held on! :)
