As much as I personally disagree with 666 sending someone to hell, a tattoo artist has every right to say they don't feel comfortable doing a certain tattoo. I would 100% rather an artist tell me they didn't want to do it than them doing it anyway and really disliking it.
Satan Karen needs to live up to her religious philosophy: As Satan rebelled against God to do what he felt was right for himself, so a Satanist is supposed to respect someone else telling them they don't want to do a thing. The whole theory of Satanism is for the individual person to honor themselves instead of blind obedience. She was probably a poser anyway. 666 isn't the devil's number, it's the paradoxical number for mankind.
@@ElanaVital83 it wasn't even a number originally, since the Arabic numbers came AFTER the scripture, it was just the mark of the Beast that looked really similar to the number 6.
Alright, but if she's going to use a religious reason to not give someone a tat, then why is she tatting people in the first place? I don't subscribe to religion myself, but most of them view the body as a temple and see tattooing as marking up your temple with graffiti. Like isn't she already sending everyone that she tats in her shop to hell? Why stop now?
They knew the world they were getting themselves into and believing tattoo artists are some of the best things a human can be. If they respect the craft.
My worst client story: I was still relatively fresh out of my apprenticeship, so I really wanted to prove myself. This girl wanted "happiness" with a straight line beneath in and then "everything" (happiness over everything). I was using a 7RL, it was a pretty small tattoo, on the forearm and I have a pretty light hand. This girl wouldn't stop shaking, twitching or moving. She even started crying. I stopped multiple times and kept asking if she wanted to stop but she wanted to keep going. I 100% regret doing it. It came out terrible and I'm so sorry that I put that on her FOREARM
you know i wasn’t so sure how i felt about the “i don’t want to do this 666 tattoo because i think it’ll send my client to hell” thing but i think she made a good call because it sounds like that woman was the devil
I'm not a tattoo artist, but while I was getting my first tattoo a woman came into the shop and demanded that someone (anyone) tattoo pentagrams on her daughter because they were used as protection in her religion. her daughter was 12 and when the owner of the shop said no she threw a massive fit and told him she'll come back and drink his blood. it was really weird
I got a tattoo done today by the new guy learning and besides blow outs and some not so straight lines he actually did very well with how difficult it was. Dude has a future with practice
I was about to be really confused at why Lalo got chased because lane splitting is legal in CA, but I remembered Ink Master isn't actually filmed in LA
It’s interesting how some people feel some type of way about the number 666 when that number actually has nothing to do with the devil, also the “number of the beast” has also changed over time, it used to be 616, and a few other numbers. So yeah….666 ain’t that deep, just like most depictions of satan don’t depict him in any way like they are depicted in the Bible and other religious texts.
I knew a guy, wanted an upside down cross cuz 'praise satan' and all that, had no idea it was a symbol from Peter's martyrdom. I think especially with tattoos, perception can be more important than meaning. Most people won't ask if your swastika tattoo is a hindu symbol or a nazi one, so looks are important.
I haven't seen anyone with it as a tattoo, but 6 is a lucky number here in China. It can mean something is cool as well. And my name sounds similar to the pronunciation of 6 in Mandarin so many times my students will run up to me saying "666! 666!" At first I was like "yo, why are these little kids trying to curse me? what's up with that?" haha
Yeah, you wouldn't see a satanist refuse to tattoo a cross. I thought it was rlly unprofessional on the artist's part. Your religious beliefs shouldn't influence your tattooing, bc at the end of the day, its not on your body. Plus, it's not like the lady wanted a swastika or some hate sign.
@@maria_is_away guess what? Artists are human, and they are aloud to turn down tattoos that make them uncomfortable. You don’t get to decide how other people feel. She can find another artist. It was like if you get these three items it will cost that much due to tax. Everybody who worked their knew about it. That and 9 dollars and 11 cents. That one was the most common. Anyways, this dude comes in, orders something and then I tell him his total is $6.66 and he literally jumps a half foot back from the counter. He's like.... no... um... no thank you. I guess I need to buy something else. Lik, I'm not normally like this but I don't wanna get into a car accident on the way home or nothing.... just put like an extra carton of milk on there and then we'll be safe. And that's what I did and then the guy was fine. But that interaction sticks with me to this day cuz of just how shook up the guy was by it.
