I've just received my Rapala Rippin Rap 07 24gr, the colour is Chrome. I am hoping this lure is guna help me catch some big Perch and Northern Pike here in the UK. Love your honest reviews as I always watch them before purchasing a bait/lure. 5 stars for review video 👌😎👊
Rippin'n Raps are the ideal smallmouth lipless crank, those lighter wire hooks puncture the tougher mouths of smallmouths better, and the wobble on the fall is different than any others lipless cranks that I know of
Hi nice review! I bought 2 of these at a bazaar for a great price. When I opened the box I noticed the 2 different sizes of treble hooks! Initial thought was the back one was too small. Must be a size 6 or 8 where most use a size 4 for those size of lures. There must be a reason why they did that right? I mean for the price you would pay at the store, one wouldn't or shouldn't even have to change the hooks out, it's a pretty high quality lure. You ever lose a fish cause of the smaller hook or the smaller hook penetrates the fish's mouth easier?
You can! Works pretty great in the right conditions, too! Might want to downsize to the 2" and 1/4 ounce, but not necessary. And you want to rip it up off of the bottom and let it fall back down, finding the cadence that the fish like. It's supposed to mimic a dying baitfish on it's last fins. you can even bait the hooks and use much smaller movements. But try different methods until you get the fish interested, and then repeat, essentially... It's likely that smaller/less movement/s are needed when ice-fishing and the fish are lethargic. ; )

+Alex sandoval look here tough guy, call and speak with anyone at RAPala, they pronounce it just like I say it. Which is why they have Rippin RAPS, Shad RAPS, Crankin RAPS etc!! Don't eat the yellow snow and wear sun screen.
+Kevin Bullington Impala? Rapala? I can call Rapala too and its originally called Rapala. Many inbred Southern fisherman are too ignorant to read, write and speak correctly.
+Alex sandoval Give that link a watch, the man's name was Lauri RAPala! I'm guessing by your logic, the one that pronounces it incorrectly is "inbred".... just sayin'
Your reveiw is pretty accurate. I have five of the 06. Changed the hooks to #4 front & rear. Preforms even better in my opinion. Great videos.
Thanks Mike
My first lipless crank that I caught a fish on! Great review as always!

I caught my largest bass to date on this lure, 7.5lbs!
These and the Xcalibur are my faves, I like this one for spring, great lure and very durable!

It's a nice color for sure.
I caught my personal best Largemouth Bass (21 1/8") on the RPR05 live Bluegill. Great lure!
This is the first lure i ever used and caught a fish and thats how i started fishing
We’ve been hammering pike in Canada with these.
They cast better, cast farther than any other lure in my box.
Thanks again James. Really appreciate the support man.
Tnx for the good reveiw and can you tell me who is better Rippin Rap or Clackin’ Rap?
I fished a 06 out of a pond and taking it later to try it out at sum night fishing for bass see how it does!!

I think I will. Maybe not right away though.
I think the rippin rap was designed with the smallmouth in mind , definitely a great smallmouth bait by my experience

Thanks MassBass

Nice review, great baits
Best lipless crankbait you have ever used?
That's a beast!!
Maybe.... Idk. The rattling version wasn't the best IMO.
I just purchased one of these lures today, I got in silver chrome I think it's called. Plan to take it to the lake tomorrow
I just got one of these today and I hear you can ice fish with these and hopefully he didn't say that and I don't look like an idiot.

Look it up for yourself…
seemed to be sold out at most places.
Lure's good, as usual hooks are garbage.
its annoying how ignorant people pronounce it rap-alluh. its pronounced just like you would say Impala. Ra-Pa-la. 3 syllables. Stay in School.

+Kevin Bullington BTW, FYI, the way I pronounce it is 3 SYLLABLES RAP-A-LA! "Mr Bunny, we don't wanna go back to Moron Mountain" 😉👍🏻
