So their tactic is to mark everything on the site over $1k in hopes that not a single person purchases anything then eventually drop them dramatically down to 2-3 hundred dollars and they will instantly sell? What about the bafoons that actually spend 1400? Just SOL? I don’t see the upside if it is ACTUALLY a marketing strategy. Getting people to talk negatively about your product that literally has no market prowess is legit the most dimwitted thing you could do.
If they're gonna put an insane price on them to try and give the illusion of luxury and exclusivity they could have at least designed a website and logo that doesn't look like a youtubers merch store

Just picked up a pair of Brixton labor pants from a discount goods store for €35. Super relaxed raw denim jeans. It's a joke to charge that sort of money for trousers. Love from Ireland.

Not necessarily. While I personally wouldn't like paying more than $60 for pants, some of the more expensive jeans by skate companies are pretty justified imo, considering the quality materials you need to source, the cost of limited runs vs mass production will be pricier per unit, and if you're paying who's making the pants/jeans a fair wage, and then you need to possibly import them once they are made, it makes sense that you'd have to charge over $60-90+ to make a profit margin that is worth even making and selling them in the first place. Polar pants for example are expensive, but they're imported, made by people with fair wages, etc. Yes it's expensive, but I wouldn't consider them "price gouging" since it makes sense they're a little more expensive to produce than other pants you'd see stocked. I own 0 pairs of polar pants for the record haha I typically wear Dickies or pants I find on sale
The dime denim are legit. Nicest pair of pants I've ever got. That being said tho theres no way I'm skating them after paying 175$ cad. There my only pants I don't skate,my Levi's can take the holes.
I buy my pants at the army surplus. Brand new pair of Camo BDUs are 40 bucks. A pair of olive cargos are also around the same price. If Im buying denim, I will usually get a pair of Levis at around the 50-60 dollar range. But thats the highest i will go when paying for clothes.
Little Update, they are now 1/10th the price, at exactly as much as a pair of big boys. Whether the quality is there or not, who knows? After the Cariuma drama, Steve Berra defending this shit only for the company itself to back peddle already shows a hilariously large effort to scam the skating industry in hopes of a get rich quick scheme. Well have a $90 option to both these pants you’re talking about in less then a month Stonewash denim made right here in the USA We source the denim from USA made Mfg then we bring to the tailors then it goes to the wash house for stone washing and then all embellishments get added These big mama pants are literally $4 a yard polyester corduroy none of the corduroys even match … each color is a different type of corduroy $1400 is bugged out on these

I'd like to make a brand and sell jeans for some ridiculous price with a good catch which will mean the buyer has to keep it. But the idea is when they wear it, it fades and you see writing "I'm an idiot" coming through.
