The automatic lights on e39 (plus other models)were introduced in the 02 model year car. E38s ceased production in 01. That's why they never got auto lights, just only auto wipers.. They can be retrofitted. I did retro fit them in mine. Not 100% functional but I'd say 90%. Need a bit more programming to do. Great videos and gorgeous car my friend keep them coming!

I recently sold my 93 E31 CSi and that bong of death triggered some ptsd in me I have to say. 90s BMW's are great, charismatic machines with incredible engineering and design, but when they go wrong, they GO WRONG...
Wondering it bothers me about my E 38 is the fact that the stereo system is I say crappy the fact that they were still using paper cone speakers is horrible and the sound settings are horrible on an $85,000 vehicle back in the day
@@KevinUrban-u1z I wouldn’t say “Free” - They have held their value & gone up a bit. Mine is a 2001, and a 2011 is going for the same price. Build quality of the late 90s/Early 2000s BMWs is far better than the new ones. If I wasn’t a car guy, I would have got a Corolla but here I am 😂

I’ll double check, but I got my friend to check my lights when I activated all of them & nothing was wrong.
