WOW bands can also be reused on all compatible ships! $9.99 one time and use sailing after sailing. I go to guest services and get it programmed right when I get on and use it to get drinks prior to getting my sea pass card.
Hey Matt, great stuff as always. The best $25 ($40 with tip) I ever spent on a cruise was for a 30 minute massage at Maya Chan, absolutely fabulous! Hope to see you on a cruise one day!
I'm too cheap for a dining package and my family like the main dining and windjammer. For our upcoming cruise I booked lunch at Jaime's Italian one day and chops another day. Paid 19.99 per person for these lunches. Gotta book early when a sale is going on
Great list Matt. Two comments: In addition to Taste of Royal, I would add any specialty restaurant for lunch. Same menu at half the cost. Second, I agree about Hideaway Beach. One of the best parts was shuttle that only served only H.B. without all the other stops - easier on/off than any other Perfect Day location.
If it’s offered, I can highly recommend the sushi making class… It’s a lot of fun, it’s only about 35 bucks, and unlike the ones they have an Norwegian cruise line. You actually get to make the sushi yourself and eat it yourself so you get about 20 bucks of sushi out of the whole thing!
How have I spent an entire week onboard Symphony and not even heard of those Wow Bands? I'm so surprised that Royal aren't pushing that, especially when it's an income stream. Loved this video - I often find that 'extras' on Royal Caribbean can be really expensive, so it's great to see so many 'budget friendly' options in this video!
My friends recently went on their first cruise with us, they brought their 11 year old daughter. They could not get her out of adventure ocean. She would rather be there the entire time. We were in curacao and she kept asking when we’d go back on the ship for adventure ocean 😂. Point is don’t judge people if you see them pick up their kids at night. The kids might want to be there.
The sushi making class is absolutely fantastic and worth the cost! My then 11-year old daughter and I did it, and absolutely loved it! It was fun, the other people in the class were great to chat with, and of course we got to eat the sushi. I was going to do it again this next cruise with my son, but it sells out super fast and I just wasn't quick enough this time.
After cruising princess. Wow bands have to be a standard on all ships! I would only have to walk up the bar and NFC band would be picked up. Made the bars so smooth! Was bummed going back 10 years in technology getting back on a RCCL ship. (Actually leaving a older princess ship, the Regal, to a newer Royal ship).
Many of the specialty restaurants cost more than $50, but one of my favorites is Sabor on Liberty Of The Seas. Excellent food for dinner for $47.99 if you book early on the cruise planner. Looking forward to 2 dinners there on my cruise in July.
I got my fiance $25 of arcade credit on our last cruise before we went on quantum of the seas but we did not have time to even find the arcade lol and the day we decided to go and find it it was pouring down with rain and we could not find a way from where we was to get up there without going out on the pool deck. So we ended up not using the credit.
I had issues the WoW band. Just came off Harmony of the Seas. EVERY place that i used the wow band, except my room door, the crew member would demand to see the sea pass card also. So instead of just carrying the SeaPass card. I had to carry the Wow band and the SeaPass card
OMG I LOVE the escape rooms. I've done 4 different ones on different ships. All of them were so well done and designed so well. Except for 1. That was just soo bad. No designs, no real clues, in fact, everything was bought on ebay for less then $50.
@@user-ld2qx5yw3h the one I didn't like was on Wonder of the Seas. It was 100% impossible and was just incredibly lazy. Now I haven't been on Independence, but they have a similar escape room on another ship that I did. And it was a BLAST! I would recommend doing that one! And tell me what you think once you do
WOW bands still have limitations. I tried to use my WOW band to pay for my drink at the bar at Hideaway Beach on Coco Cay but was told that I needed to pay with my seapass card instead. For some reason, my diamond vouchers can't be used if I pay with the WOW band. There isn't the same problem when on board the ship.
im sorry but that barber shop on the cruise is so dumb, like if you are a guy going on a cruise without getting a fresh cut and shave first then what are you even doing 🤦♂🤦♂
@bestcee Did you not even listen? He specifically said to catch it at that price on the deep discounted sales, like the 50% spa they did last week. Seriously unimpressed with your lack of listening.
@@coleentangerine the trademark holders of the name and the ones who created the name call it KAY not key I’m quite well aware that other places are called key but that is completely irrelevant
I was wondering too. I just went cruising on Icon, every announcement pronounced it as Kay, but I also noticed some other RUclipsrs also pronounced it as key. I guess both are ok

I bought a Coffee Card on my cruise for $31. It allowed for 15 of any kind of specialty drink from the coffee shop. I thought it was a great value!

Agreed!
What I saw on those plates is worth more than $20 bucks worth of Sushi, at least in NYC.
I loved taking the class last year.

Any parent who leaves young children in Adventure Ocean / Nursery rather than taking them to a show gets my undying gratitude.

I have experienced the express shave, worth the price. Booking pre-boarding is the right way to go for sure.
Good to know.
If I take another cruise, I'll put it on my list.
We’re trying the Guacamole class at Sabor and lunch at Jamie’s Italian, both purchased on Black Friday at a good discount.
The WOW band is a great idea. Is it waterproof? Can you wear it in the pool or hot tub?
Short answer, yes.
I love getting the professional photos taken ❤❤
Me too

We just did the sushi making class on Symphony, it was awesome! Three rolls, one hand roll and two pieces of sashimi - so much we couldn't eat it all!
Everytime i check for the shave thing for my next 2 cruises i dont see it under spa and wellness.
I retired from air hockey it gets wild and pucks fly.
Does the coffee card allow you to get 2 coffees at a time? Do you have to buy 2 cards if there are 2 people in your room, like the drink packages?

Will the WOW Bands be available on the Utopia of the Seas?
Not sure yet
I'd be surprised if they aren't.
You could always call Royal Caribbean and ask.
We spent our $100 credit for our hideaway beach passes. So it was free. Major plus
I haven't seen any of the single photos offered for less than $25 in several years.

The Coffee Card!!!!!!!!!!!!
I never gave it a thought to ask about the Wow bands when we sailed on Allure last week! Next time for sure!
I didn’t think Allure was getting them until the ship is in dry dock
@@Thamesgirl I didnt see anyone wearing a Wow band. He said Oasis class ships in this video so I thought he meant all of them.
DO THE WOW BANDS WORK ON SLOTS
For the WOW brands, can you use one you’re bought on another Royal Caribbean cruise?
Yes, as long as they aren't the ancient ones that have a muster station on them

i always thought cococay was pronounced cocoKAY so it rhymes with perfect DAY 😅
It is
Why do people call it cocoKEY

How can I find out if the sushi making class is available on Independence of the Seas on the 10 June 2024 sailing?
I suspect that you can't know until after you book the cruise and pay the deposit.
Although you could call customer service and ask.
Are WOW bands available on Harmony finally? 🙏
Yes I got them July ‘23 when I sailed on Harmony
@@FLPeach00 Thanks!
Yes!
I sailed on Harmony in September of last year.
They had them then.
Can you get the seabands on Adventure?
No
Can I use my Starbucks gift card on the ship?
Yes 👍
Lots of great ideas... however.. precruise price for a shave is $55. I would be all over it at $30

Fire and ice is def not 39 it was 79 plus service and tip on harmony
I asked about the wow bands on my last three oasis class cruises (2023 & 2024) and was told they were for suite guest only. 😕
Strange. I bought mine on Harmony the first day without any issue.
Are wow bands waterproof?
Sea bands. Auto corrected me.🤣
Yes to both 😂
Wow bands are £39.93 per guest per day on my uk app wish it was $9.99
I would wait until you board your ship. The Guest Services should have them at $10 there.
It bothers me that you say coco key
It’s meant to rhyme
Perfect day and Coco Cay
Guess you need to convince the land owners. They call it Key.
