Welcome back to Majestic Pinball, today we are filming at Pinball Republic a fantastic pinball club situated in Croydon, London. In this episode I will be explaining the rules and showing you some gameplay of a wonderfully challenging game called Alien Poker released in 1980 by Williams.

This is one of the funnest pinball games I've ever played. My brother and I (RIP) played it back in the early 80's. He was good at it/very good. "Million Jackpot" was always music to our ears along w/the free game "thump". Bally games were fun but Williams mainly b/c of this one were our favorites. Listening to this alone brings back so many good memories. If I could find one I'd buy it. Remember "I deal joker"? I think that's what he said when we were doing well and racking up bonus points. What a fun game!
I agree, always really enjoy playing it especially the risk/reward factor of raising the multiplier before cashing in the drop targets. Glad this video helped to bring back some fond memories for you, thank your for sharing your story and for watching the video! :D

Alien Poker - You Deal : ) Played this game in the arcade when it first came out (Me - 16). Early 80s Williams pinball machines will always be my favourites. Turned 58 last month and would buy an Alien Poker for the home if one was nearby - Alberta Canada

You've made me miss our Alien Poker, which is currently undergoing a resto job/playfield replacement in our back room. Also among my favourite pins in the club, which is why I spent 18 months looking out for one!

@@MajesticPinball It’s not, at the moment, as I haven’t found time at the weekend with kids. I’m currently finishing up a long-term work project and then I was going to take some time off before Pinfest to try to finish it :)
If I ever get to England I would LOVE to go to your pinball club; I am a lifelong pinball fanatic. Any time I can find a table IRL I would love to play it, or take pictures. I would make notes where to play would be as well, and try to get to them.

Just completed repairs on my Alien Poker. Got it from a friend in non working condition. Fantastic game! My other Em pinballs seem like they play in slow motion after playing this!
Glad to hear you saved another Alien Poker, it really is an amazing machine, lightning fast and really brutal but never feels too unfair like some games can do.
Forgot to add,,,you're very good at it. "I raise a million",,,forgot about that one. There will never be another Alien Poker. (You deal.)

Here in brazil taito manufacturer produced a bootleg based on alien poker playfield called lunelle

Why is the guide behind the 2 lower right flipper so high up? the ball is supposed to drain between those 2 lower right flippers you have made the game way way too easy.
This isn't my machine, I'm just playing it and sharing it with others 👍
Nice vid mate. I think you could add a little of challenge by removing the metal guides below the flippers 🥹
