Hello, The patterns are done with laser cutting and layering of the switchable layers. We can do all kinds of patterns, the only catch is that each layer must have contact with the edge (power source) in order to switch from clear to frosted with electricity. You can set it up to operate either in parallel for simultaneous control or in series for sequential control.

Can I put holes into it?
Yes holes can be cut out of the film for hardware such as door handles, hinges etc.

you will find these films are sensitive to UV light... That is why they don't mount it on external windows. But no word on it in the video...
