I live in Canada and just watched “ the hot life “ on Netflix and fell in love with the Hakka people and grandma Quing who is in her 90s! I just wanted to say greetings to her, I’m 74 and have 3 grand daughters! I hope she’s still alive and enjoying hot pot and family!❤️❤️❤️❤️
the scenery and culture is nice. I am a Hakka. My ancestors came from Meixian, Guangdong. I grow mugwort in my garden. This is a herb which is used to make Hakka mugwort dumplings and for healthy soup.
Thank you for showing this amazing place. I'm the third generation of Hakka living abroad by my father side. As soon as this pandemic is over, I will travel to China. I'm missing China so much☘️❤️✈️
That is so wonderful! I hope you'll have a happy and safe travel. :)
@@Lorynae Thank you, hope so.
Wow what an astounding and historical place! I'm a Hakka myself. And i think i'm going there to find my roots!
It's incredible!! Pay a visit if you ever have a chance! :)
Thanks for the suggestion! I absolutely will! And You're doing a great job there!! Good luck and keep it up! :)
Me too. I wish my dad taught me Hakka. Didn’t really even teach me Cantonese lol
Where are a big tribe. There is saomething about that place. ruclips.net/video/OHkFq3U6jLY/видео.html
那里客家?
I love China! The most discipline cooutry in the world
As a Taiwanese Hakka I love our Hakka traditional food and that mugwort dumpling I love it. Growing up in the west my mom never let my brother and I forgot our roots, culture, food, language.
Millions of diaspora chinese would like to see this videos as a form of healing our souls that belong to china esp the Hakka people here.By the way I am Minlan and Hakka live side by side in Fujian. So much scenery and history with good narration to go along. Unique for China very historical as the village goes back to N and Southern Dynasty.
the rich ancient history of Hakka is not forgotten
Shaoguan is presently Hakka but it was originally the transit route from North China to Guangdong especially to the Pearl Delta area. Several waves came through during the Song Dynasty. The final demise of the Southern Song occurred in the epic sea battle of Ya Men in Guangdong with the Mongols.
Thank you for showcasing the Hakka people on this episode. And thank you Louisa. I wish you had shared more of the history of the Hakka people and how they came to settle in that region of China. I wish I had heard some people speaking Hakka. I understand that there are different Hakka accents depending on where one is from. Perhaps in another video? :)
I am Hakka and having been born in the West, I don't get to hear stories of my people. I speak the language, but can't read or write Chinese.
My hometown. Our ancestors were from the northern China during Song Dynasty. 石塘 village is close to my village, and we have the same ancestors.
I wish I was able to know more of the history of the Hakka people. But every bit I read or learn from the internet helps. Thank you.
My great grandfather is from Fuichew ,Tam sui, China.I am staying here at Alor Star, Kedah Malaysia.I speak Hakka at home.My father is hakka but my mother is Cantonese. But my mother can speak good hakka.I didn't ask her where she learns Hakka because speak Cantonese with my auntie.
I cried seeing that.
I am a Chinese born overseas.
grandfather and grandmother of my mother hakka.
grandfather and grandmother of my father thiewcu people.
so I can speak thiewcu and hakka.
there are many generations like me have started to not speak chinese.
Why don't the people being interviewed use hakka?
(Tomai/Comai Ki Mo Kong Thongboi Na?).
can you tell me?.
I can see this CGTN and other videos about China because I have Chinese blood,
which made me see a trade war between China and America that's what made me see this channel and all about the things of China.
In the beginning I didn't want to care about China, no matter how great the country is China,
I still don't care.
because I was born abroad. but who knows why in the past year, I want to find out where all my culture comes from.
and I'm surprised that all the cultures that I have come from China. I'm sure there are tens of millions of young Chinese people born outside of China they don't know where their grandparents came from.
if they want to find out the origin of their grandparents,
I'm sure they too will be very sad.
many born overseas Chinese would go back to China to truce their roots, checking out where and how their ancestors lived..
OOO oo please preserve Hakka! My father is hakka but my mom is hokkian strait born. I love Hakka culture n language
I am curious about what is thiewcu
Teochew. Is chaozhou of the chaoshan region in eastern guangdong.
Why the title it Hakka but not a single original Hakka spoken. Hello brother I also was born abroad just like you with Thiewcu and Hakka mixed, Cheers from Indonesia
大家好. I happened to be an overseas Chinese Hakka although I don't speak hak fa my roots are from guang dong
Fantastic video, I’m a Hakka and wonder any chance of gaining access to the book....
It would be great if the original names in Chinese characters could be shown when they were mentioned. Pinyin alone lost most of the information.
Thanks for shows the side Hakka I didn’t know about...I’m Hakka ngin from Australia..born in East Timor..we Hakka people are the best in the world..Hakka dialect shouldn’t be the national Chinese language not mandarin..
A lot of historical place at china and i love there culture,i’m working here in china...feichang ganxie ni...
The river scenery reminds one of childhood books of Pearl S Buck.
I was a university teacher in Guangdong 12 years ago
Cannot even describe how beautiful China is
Amazing, I feel like drag to incridible natural Dinosaurs era scenes
好片

為什麼不用客家話同當地人溝通?(如果你會說)
人家是央视英文记者,,可能是央视请的英文记者。有些记者连中文都不会讲。
Слева прям интересная
CGTN you should sent a Host who speak original Hakka, why title it Hakka while there's not a single Hakka spoken in this video ?
广东客家人路过
I have yet to hear the hakka dialect spoken. 🤔
It’s more for overseas horned Hakka descendents who don’t speak any Chinese dialects.
I will merry ai girl from shaquan
Who is the fruitcake who said Hakka are Turk? I m a 3rd generation Hakka. My late father came to Sarawak from North Borneo now Sabah. His father came either from Fukien or Guangzhou or Hubei province to settle in Jesselton, now Kota Kinabalu. There well documented researches on the waves of Hakka to North Borneo through one Basel Missionary in 1910 from NE China. Turk. The poor writer must be on grass.
Its s pity politicians then did nothing to solve the Hakka problem in the main story. For manu in Malaya, hakka people are found in Kuching, Serian and Bau Chinese are mainly hakka so is Kota Sentosa, kota Padawan ( mile10) all the way to Siburan ( mile 18) Betatok ( mile 22) Tapah ( mile 24) n Serian...hakka territory. From mile 18 to mile 24, haka people were fenced in like new village concept of Malaya during the height of confrontation with armed communist struggle.
Plenty of forgotten anguish & suffering here where many hakka lands were quietly reverted to the State as they were moved into " controlled" areas ( fenced in).
Even they pray to BODHIDHARMA
Just show us the scenery. Talking so much ruined the mood since our brain are forced to process all the info you out out xD
Where is the Hakka content?
Reviving Hakka but not speaking hakka.
What a joke
lmao, i was trying to test my hakka but sadly there was not a lick
they are making a tv show....the audience is not just Hakka people...get a brain maybe
Why chinese will pray to INDIAN budhha
