- Puppet shows will always be close to my heart, they were always just around when I was being raised. Today I thought we'd take a trip down the lane of lost puppetry, with things like a setting far into the future, to things like a dude with a pencil for a nose, here's just ten missing pieces of puppetry media!

Things I left out:
The Funday PawPet Show basically started doing episodes again in 2018, so it didn’t end in 2017. On the lost media wiki article for Out to Lunch, someone commented that the person with the screenshots has the whole special but can’t release it for legal reasons. I left this out because I couldn’t verify it. Regardless, here’s the new video, I hope you guys enjoy, and I’ll see you all next time. Peace!
Out to Lunch was supposedly available to watch at some media center. Don't know if it's still true, don't know if they still have it. I'm sure that the Sesame Workshop archives might have it somewhere as well.
The Posey Narkers should have been on this list. lol
There are other pieces of lost media related to Baby Einstein besides Einstein Pals. One’s a deleted scene in Baby Van Gogh of Vincent Van Goat with paint buckets which is currently unconfirmed. The other was from World Animals with a segment teaching the animals of the forest. Baby Einstein creator, Julie Clark confirmed the World Animals one, but unfortunately, most of the segment was erased due to time consumption. However, the puppet show for the the lost segment is available with a bear and fox fighting over a pillow.
Hi
I should also point out that Sam and Friends, the first show Jim Henson made and the first appearance of Kermit (who was not yet a frog at this point) is also largely lost.
I love hearing about lost media on things I never knew I would be interested in! I love the community since it has people with such niche interests.
I agree!
As someone who grew up with Between the Lion,Sesame Street,Johnny and the Sprites, and Bear in the Big Blue House. Puppets Shows played a huge part of my childhood.
If we're talking terrifying lost puppet media, I have two words for you: Rimini Riddle.
Learned about Ratchafak from blameitonjorge! I love when anyone brings forth lost media great vid my dude!
So are you subbed to @All things Lost or Source Brew? They both cover lost media super well. But o’course @BlameitonJorge is the king of lost media.
i have a weird fascination with lost media and puppet shows so seeing a video about lost puppet show media is so awesome to me, thank you so much for this
Same!
I’m a big fan of puppets.
10:54 I emailed the director of Slniečko to see if they have any content or descriptions, I'm still waiting for a response. Sometimes photos of characters were sent to kids that had mailed letters to the television station and set photos were given to directors and hosts.
I tried contacting one of Raťafák’s puppeteers too since it’s been reported that creators of the TV characters own the copyrights to them, but they didn't respond.
I also DMed one of the people that owned the puppet and that lead me to the person that owns it now, the previous locations of the puppets, and how much content from the early 2000s there is (almost everything is online now, there is an archived web series and a bunch of appearances at festivals and events).
I also emailed a designer of Raťafák last year with no luck. I have a lot more contacts that I might use later if I get no response. Maybe they would be willing to give information about the show or could access RTVS’s catalogues.
Hold up! "Sesame Street" and "Electric Company" had a crossover?! Granted some of the characters appeared in eachother's shows but still...
You should see the episode of Reading Rainbow where Kermit the Frog shows up! PBS Cinematic Universe!
@@CinnamonGrrlErin1 Though why couldn't Bob Ross appear on "Sesame Street"?
I FUCKING LOVE PINWHEEL!!!!!!! It was my favorite show as a toddler haha. When 'clockman' surfaced after the hyped up search I was like "oh that sh*#?" I had never thought of it as scary.
I don't know if it's "lost" per se, but I have been trying to find this straight to video puppet show from the 80s, or at least find the name. They were all animal puppets (mostly mice and bunnies I think), and to the best of my recollection, it wasn't a Christian or faith-based show.
Quigley's Village?
Ahh this is my #1 favorite lost media topic of all time! I want Twizzle to be found so bad.
Thanks for another amazing video!
Any 80s kids recall this show:
A science-related puppet show where a live action host, and ventriloquist I believe, would send a male and female puppet team around the world to solve science-related problems. Such as: going to the Arctic where alien tourists plan on making the rest of the Earth freeze over in order to make our planet more bearable, for them. Another involved a spooky Frankensteinian castle where the male puppet was abducted so his mind could be swapped with that of the creature. The show had other segments where viewer letters could be answered, usually about science stuff, and involved other puppets, one memorable character was a creepy goblin/vampire-type which the human host didn't like interacting with much, often using a long stick or something to hand a letter in said character's chamber. The show was either called "Mad Science" or "Mad Scientists" or something like that.
I personally think every piece of media should be preserved. Even horrible and hated media. All media has something important to it and should be saved and preserved because of it
your videos are awesome!! you deserve so many more subscribers, thanks for all the cool lost media info!
I watched pinwheel a veeeerrrry long time ago, I’m almost 50 so I can believe it’s long lost. That and You can’t do that on television. Miss those shows
I'm surprised on how much puppet shows are lost but some have been found or partly found like noddy. the one I would love to see get more attention is the Garfield goose show.
Just a side note, the people at the muppet wiki do have a copy of out to lunch. But I feel with many of the stuff from Sesame Street that has been found, like the Julia on Sesame Street special, as well people at the sesame workshop do have a copy, for providing a clip of the opening number to the museum of moving image, as well as Sesame Street seasoning end party’s
Wait, the Julia special was lost at one point?
@@HexManiacHana I believe it was because there was no home media release of it
Thanks for the cool videos and keep up the good work!
I wish content like this was more mainstream.
Please Disney post all the Bear in the Big Blue House on your streaming service. :(
Yeah come on it's their 25th anniversary
i love this!!! puppets are so cool, dude!
i, too, am a big fan of ratafak's design. he's just weird lookin'!
Puppetry my all time favorite topic! a video after my own heart for sure
I love lost media. I FINALLY found a couple puppet shows from my childhood I thought were a fever dream: Wee Sing in Sillyville and Mrs. Cabobble’s Caboose. Glad they don’t seem to be lost media because it would have driven me mad not being able to find them. However there is still some “lost media” from my childhood I’ve yet to find.
The thing I want to see most from Pinwheel is the episode that Clockman aired in.
I have a lot of Lost Media materials in my head.
As for a lost puppet shows. I have this memory of a Puppet show, where the puppets are in a TV studio.
And one of the main character is a bear or a Panda or even a Cat. I think last time I saw this show was in the very early 90's.
3:20 that sounds like the 2015 series! It's my favourite piece of Muppet media.
Nice job with the video!
10 seconds in: oh, so this will be a appreciation video for puppet shows, thats actually pretty cool
1 minute in: "THIS LOOKS HORRIFYING" oh right, puppet shows are uncanny as hell.
Dude, you not the only one that freaked out when Kermit was on the masked singer. I did to.
Based
nice video! i also work hard to collect as much media as i can to preserve it.
Your puppets are a special interest of mine too. I freaking love Jim Henson.
For some reason, I was expecting to hear about "Basura" (Trash/Garbage), a Chilean puppet show from 2004 that nobody remembers (I remember it, but I only came across it once, and never even thought about it because it creeped the fuck out of me). But yeah, I think it's far too obscure (Well, they tried to compete agains 31 Minutos, so the result was obvious)
My dad remembers pinwheel but he's surprised that its lost. He even remembers the theme song.
Can you do list of lost Sesame Street skits next?
There are also lost episodes of "Sam and Friends,," Jim Henson's original Muppet Show in the 1950s in Washington DC.
There's this one puppet show that I'm trying to find again, I saw it on a DVD in Once Upon a Child, which is a thrift store that specializes in children's and infants' items. The title was one word and the puppets were made in a style that resembles those of Allegra's Window.
The funday paw pet show has another lost episode
I used to watch the Funday Pawpet show regularly for a few years, UNTIL I saw an episode where both sheepdogs (Ezra and Mutt) start calling each other the N-word, despite both puppeteers being white.
I think it was one of the Halloween episodes but I don't remember exactly.
So pinwheel has about 10 hours of footage then how long are the episodes themselves? Are they 30 minutes or 1 hour long?
Nice video dude hey how about you do one on list of lost english dubs for anime next that be cool to see
Ahoyhoy There, Fellow RUclipsrino! I remember they were supposed to show a new Muppets said during a Phineas and Ferb Commercial Break
The lost media archive has quite a few slniečko episodes. But the page lacks all uploads from RUclipsr super Sarah.
You should watch pop arenas nick knacks he covered pinwheel and other old nick shows
Could you do a video on “Snuffy’s Parents Get a Divorce” is possible?? That would be really cool, as I’ve been doing some research on that episode. ✌️😙
1:12 If I'm correct, the kanji characters from before literally meant "City In the Sky" 空中都市 (kuuchuu *idk how to pronounce the city part*) so it makes sense they live in the sky.
I know this comment gives off big "I know Japanese, I'm so quirky and unique" vibes but I just felt like sharing that lol
What? No Rimini Riddle? Blasphemous.
That mr squiggles drawing looks like he invented scribblenauts
*That Scribblenauts?*
@@agentkmr Mr squiggles seems to have been aired much before scribblenauts ever existed.
It’s just interesting to see his drawing, it’s so similar, it makes me wonder if scribblenauts drew inspiration from it.
You mean a DVD of Squiggle's 1988 Episodes? Because, DVD as a format was made in 1996 (released in 1997)
4:17 YES!!!!!
wooo
Still waiting for another me and my friends update 😩
6:27 Nightmare Fuel
Windows XP has built in video capture if you bought the add that would be the cheapest way for the 9/11 episode to be discovered
Puppetry rules
Your content is fucking amazing
We need aerial city008 now
Good thing to know that some else likes Raťafák
I want water water everywhere bear in the big blue house original pilot to be on Disney plus.
On the thumbnail, I thought their was something missing for "Thunderbirds".
Ah fuck, the thunderbirds creeped the fuck out of me when I was little (Most puppet shows did until 31 minutos)
Way too many puppet shows have lost episodes.
you should have put haberlik
Look at count dankula’s nations of the world, it’s not “lost” as much as indangered
I Have Some Lost Media Of My Own

Squiggle they said he looked creepy and I did not know the show was lost cause I don,t remember them saying that or maybe mr. Squiggle and friends is a sequel to mr. Squiggle ...also I think he looks fine like you said

WHAT THE FUCK PLOT-A
John 3:16-21
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
