great video! i recently moved to the comox valley as well and have really been enjoying the pink fishing in CR. hopefully i'll see you on the river sometime. Chinook opening on the punt in a few weeks!
Nice one! We just moved to the island as well. Been mostly fishing in the ocean lately but hoping to throw some feathers at some pinks in the next couple weeks.
Right on, it's a fun fishery. I recommend bringing some small flies as well if the water is very clear (and add a little split shot or something to ensure it gets to the bottom). Good luck Simon!
Hey, to be honest this is a new river for me and I don't yet know the full run timing of these Pinks. Based on what I've heard the run winds down by late August so I'd expect to see a lot of colored up and lockjaw salmon then. There could be new waves of fish coming in from the ocean but likely wouldn't be as frequent.
Do you generally clean the fish on the bank?

Thanks For the feedback Jay! There was so much footage from that day I think I used 20% for this video. I should have included more bobber down shots!

Hello quick question…planning to fish the cambell river late August will the fishing still be good for pinks?

It will still be good but not as fresh
Thank you 👍
