Dragon quest 3 the only dragon quest that ive felt something at the ending after reviving his father . I grind an extra day to beat that dragon in 35 turns so i can revive his hero father and its all worth it. Man the adventure of erdrick is the definition of legendary. Suikoden 2 for me is the best rpg ever so i like games with many companion character but man dragon quest 3 even with those 3 not unique companion, the game was just epic.
Yay DQ XI is rank 1 I love this game. I can’t wait for the 12 one coming soon plus the hero is my main fighter in super Smash bros ultimate. My favorite skin is the luminary and Erdrick
Bro yes!! I love DQ 11 so much!! Also YEESS!! I always choose Erdrick skin when I play Luminary and the Luminary is definitely one of my mains in Ultimate!!
I'm also replaying all of them. I'm on DQ4. I haven't played 6 or 9 though, because they're hard to find, though now they have DQ6 on mobile, so I can't wait to dive in for the first time! I agree with your ranking pretty much. I think there's another reason why DQ8 on 3DS is the superior version, I think they sped up the alchemy pot. Anyway, I can't wait to replay DQ8 also since having played DQ11 and am curious how it still holds up. I'm also eager to replay DQ7, because--I'm ashamed to admit it, I sacrificed Wiggles. I actually cried, and I couldn't reload an earlier save because I realised too late what I had done, and I won't rest until I right that wrong lol
NOT MY BOY WIGGLES!! 😭💔 😆 Bro you definitely need to right that wrong!! Lol! I know man, it's pretty freaking heartbreaking for sure! Thanks for the comment man! Dragon Quest is just too good man!
Dragon quest X is one of the best dragon quest, easily top5 but there is so much to do I don't think we can compare it to other dq games because dqx is like the most complete dq game ever, you basically got everything you could ever want
Started playing the switch version of DQ2 and it is a very different experience. In the nes version there was a lot of reasons the prince of cannock fell fair behind. 1) his weapons he had access to were extremely limited. I think the best weapon he could use was the iron spear. 2) their max levels and stat growth was much lower. So another reason he couldn’t output damage. And then the enemies gave you less exp. So in the nes I guess you could reach tone at level 20 whereas on the switch I reached rone around level 35. The stat difference would be very different
Really good list almost exactly like mine my top 3 would be 11,9,8, 11 being my favourite i think too 6 is the best of the zenithian trilogy the coolest think to me was the 2 worlds you jump inbetween
1. Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age 2. Dragon Quest III: Seeds of Salvation 3. Dragon Quest V: Hands of the Heavenly Bride 4. Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King 5. Dragon Quest II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line 10. Dragon Quest 11. Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past
Hello there i just watched you video about the Dragon Quest ranking and while your opinions are controversial they are actually well explained. There is pattern in your ranking it seems like you love big games and the ones where you can grind via some kind of job system (Dragon Quest 6,7,9,8 and 11 are the longest ones and have a progression system besides the typical level up)i didn't like Dragon Quest 6 in my opinion it's one of the weakest games together with 1 and 2 but loved 5,you also liked the game and could not find any flaws in it but it still isn't your number 1(which is okay it just didn't make you go wow unlike the others)this is why your ranking is good you are not trashing the games instead you are just talking about your favorites and the ones that didn't fit in what you expect from a Dragon Quest game. Also i don't want to sound like a creep or rude person but you are hot😌.
Hahaha well 1st things first, not weird at all! Thank you 😁 2nd, Awesome profile pic! 3rd! Thanks again! I never actually realized that but yeah! It makes sense! I love when a game has awesome progression systems! I really appreciate your comments my friend!! I'm always happy to reach a new fellow Dragon Quest fan!
@@PapiPoliteRPG thanks for your comment 😄this profile picture is of the main character of a anime called black Clover and yes i Also love progression systems (recently beat final fantasy 5 advance and it's job system still holds up).
I'm honestly less upset by where III is ranked than I am by the slapdash cover you seem to have pulled at random from Google Images (or thrown together in MS Paint) to represent it :V
Hahaha I'M SO SORRY!!! In my defense... I was just learning how to use everything for recording and things like that... But I totally understand 😆 I'm a little better now at editing and using better images than I was 1 year ago!
@@PapiPoliteRPGbro you should have played the nes or SNES entries they Don't have the same quality of life features available on the android and switch version thus feeling too much like relics of the past.
III is blindly adored and a lot of people reject any sort of criticism on it. I appreciate you standing by your feelings and while it's not my least favorite, I can certainly see where you are coming from and don't rate it as high as others in the community. The NES games definitely pale compared to the rest of the series -- I think they just don't offer the same gameplay or story experiences seen in later entries. To acknowledge some of their good, I think the chiptune soundtracks are charming. I also respect them as time capsules of sorts into what RPGs were like in the 80's. Zenithia is where it gets tricky. Each entry in the trilogy is so interesting in their own right. IV has the episodic style with an excellent cast of characters. V has a timeless story and also episodic storytelling. VI has the most robust gameplay system up to that time. I do wonder if they released on Super Nintendo stateside how they would have performed. It's a shame many Americans' first experience with these games was on the DS and even then, they still weren't all that popular. IX is a bit of an anomaly. The core game while serviceable enough seems an afterthought to the post game and multiplayer experience; I think that's what taints it for me. I do see it as having a stronger party system than III though and I enjoy the skill system and class system. Currently replaying through VII and having a blast. Just got Ruff in the party and he's a welcome addition, especially since his human tongue has been granted. I remember All Trades Abbey but not all that well so I am looking forward to seeing the class system again. VII has one of my favorite soundtracks -- the town / harbor theme is so calming and nice. I'm going to reserve commentary on VIII and XI until I finish them. I already know how great they are but for the sake of certainty, I don't want to draw any foregone conclusions. I'm curious where you think XII will fall in your list. I know there is hardly any information out but it's fun to speculate. Awesome ranking Papi! Even the worst Dragon Quest is still the worst of the best so no offense taken here!
The furthest I've made it into the whole series is III. I've played DQ1/Dragon Warrior about a zillion times. I've played DQ2 like once.... and DQ3 for like... an hour. I remember having to hire/create characters and that's super boring to me, so I just turned it off and played something else. Now I've been on a DQ1 kick again. Just this week I've played the whole thing in multiple versions like 5 times. I think I should take a stab at 2 and 3 again. If I skip 2 to 3 some sort of mild OCD will get really mad at me, so I'll probably play 2... I think I should play the NES one though, because I've only played the SNES remake which looks pretty but makes everything too easy. I'm trying to play Breath of Fire at the same time too. It's not holding my interest well but I've had it since I was a kid and never powered all the way through. I always get bored and quit, so I should probably keep going on that before DQ if I want to ever finish..
