    Can you please tell us more info on the driftwoods
    What apple tyoes exctly,other trees options as well if possible...
    How to treat them before adding them,and any other details and info will be a great help.

      Hi there, it's a green crab apple tree! Most apple trees, as they are hardwoods, should be usable - what's most important is to be sure the tree has not been sprayed or treated with any chemicals. In the case of this aquarium, the branches were cut in late fall so they were free of leaves, and then they were hung outside for 2 years, exposed to 4 season weather. After being submerged in your aquarium for a few months they will become waterlogged, and at this point you can easily remove the bark if you prefer to do so. We've found that wood-consuming suckermouth catfish, such as L306, love eating the bark of these tree branches!

      Hi Steve, great question! Discus are endemic to South America - specifically, the Amazon River basin!
