Absolutely agree. I'm from India and this song was sort of an anthem here when I grew up in 80s. Its heart warming to see that raw talent again. He says his words absolutely crystal clear.

I saw a video from 2018 and his voice was almost at his peak. Still, this shows his intelligence by modifying the melody so he could sing it and not messing up.
This is THE best version - love the simplicity of the guitars where one can really hear the notes. I would love a copy of this version vs the studio one anytime!
