The new cabs sound incredible and having the foot switch capability for live applications, the possibilities are endless!

Oh man that is some playing. I updated today and I'm blown away. Not for the metal tones because that's not my scene but for the additional cabs for cleans. I'm so happy with this update. This unit is now nothing but awesome.

I like the videos Rabea makes in his home studio more than this, simply because I get the sense that I'm getting the complete picture of a product, both good and bad, when he works in that environment. This video was "all good", and didn't mention any potential limitations. That being said...this had great information, great representation of the update, and had fantastic tone. If the intent of this was to put me "back on the fence" when choosing between the OX and the Boss product it definitely accomplished that.

Is it that good? I had a torpedo captor but the attenuation scooped and sharpened the tone so much that it was UNUSABLE
@@incitatus634 normally, as said in an other Rabea’s video, UA designed the product in order to avoid tone and dynamism loss

That Van Halen sound was amazing!!! UA are indeed the best in the business when it comes to shaping sounds!!! Dont have an OX cause I don't use an amp. Usually an amp is too loud for my need but that would be a thing to consider now. Getting a classic Marshall head with the OX.
I use my OX with my white EVH lll 100 watt head (first version) and could not be happier! Now there is the new firmware, which displayed in this video, will allow me to utilize them in ways that weren't possible at first! Christmas in November! Make the leap! You'll be glad you did.

This just turned from a piece of gear I sorta wanted to something I really want to own now.

Having tried an Ox in store. It really does make an amp sound incredible with headphones. The room and reverb sound amazing. There are some limitations. But overall it’s a wonderful product.

Title of the video checks out... and can I just add: daaaaayyyyummm! That sounds AMAZING! It certainly never hurts to have an awesome guitarist like Rabea doing the demo -- and at Real World studios no less, but this demonstration really showcased the versatility of the OX as paired with a number of classic high gain amps, and it's clear that the OX is an invaluable tool for both home studio users and small venue performers.
Im only using an earphone (not in-ear), a cheap MX135 Sennheiser, and yeah, the tone is particularly interesting and nice to my ears so far. I can imagine it's better with big headphones.

Or, it might be the fact he's got one of the best high gain tones out of anybody right now, through his own sig amp to boot. You don't have to even watch the hundreds of videos, just have to listen.

Hi, I'm interested in the ox box, all the demos are very convincing and everything looks great. I have a question if after the installation everything works well or if there are problems that the computer needs to be fixed again for it to work. This is the only thing that worries me because my big problem is that after they come to install the ox for me, problems will start that I have to deal with. Because I'm really not good at working with a computer, I'm pretty analog. Thank you

I just received one of these. I understand you run it into the amp and you can output to your cab to attenuate. But what are we hearing here? Is the OX running the amp into a virtual cab I would assume? That means what we are hearing in this demo is coming out of studio monitors or headphones or some other interface to record?
So, in all simplicity... Real World Studios... Doesn't really get much nicer than recording a gear demo at Peter Gabriel's place... Good for you. :)

Those ambient drop d tones you were getting are some of my favorite things I’ve ever heard someone play on a guitar. So thematic and it sort of puts you in a place hard to describe. Wish I could play like that haha.

I'm may just be slow at observing,but I just noticed however that your sig guitar seems to have a new/different pickup in the neck position.What did you put in there?Is that also a new bareknuckle pickup?

Rabea - Question on the last bit where you are using the wet/dry. When you kick in your floorboard, aren't you doubling into the line out? In other words doubling the effects? I want to use OX live but ideally, I'd like to use some of the OX effects into the attenuated amp...but cannot. So I'm trying to figure out my live setup...if it even makes sense to use OX live for me. I don't want to add more gear. Two Rock head, into a 1x12, pedalboard is my typical rig. The OX effects are glorious. Any thoughts on this? Thanks!
Finally pulled the trigger on an Ox (already have a Kraken 50w) and went back and watched this again. For all those wonderful amps Rabea used, to me the Kraken has his DNA in it (I know he helped with the tones/design of it). He just sounds amazing when he plays through that amp. From sweet to nasty.... it's all there.
