In our Pune customer meet, we had a dedicated live ONDC demo session. During that session, more than 150 of our customers witnessed the first-ever live transaction of ONDC. Mr. Omkar Sarda (proprietor of Medical Distributor) placed an order with one of our customers (Puneri Smart Bazaar) through a buyer application (Paytm), and the order got delivered through ONDC's hyper-local delivery partner, Loadshare. What is ONDC?
Open Network for Digital Commerce is an initiative started by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. It is a network-based portal that enables local commerce among different segments like groceries, food ordering, hotels, and logistics, etc.
ONDC India aims to bring down monopolies in the e-commerce industry and help small and micro-scale business owners flourish by selling their products online through renowned buyer applications/e-commerce platforms. ONDC e-commerce aims to bring a facilitator-driven network rather than the operator-driven network followed in the current market.
How ONDC works? Is there any ONDC app?
No, there is no application for ONDC. It is a network, and it does not depend on a particular platform. When a consumer searches for an item in an e-commerce website/buyer application registered with the ONDC network, it will list the products and services of sellers who are registered with the ONDC network. A single seller can get registered with the ONDC network and will be able to sell their products and services through different renowned buyer applications registered with the ONDC network
How to register on ONDC as a seller?
ONDC seller registration is as simple as online shopping. Since ONDC is all about the seller, the process designed for registration is very simple. These are the prerequisites needed for seller registration:
1. Onboarding to a robust seller platform like Gofrugal

3. Contact details of authorized personnel of the business

I think every retailer will put their prices very low to increase their business to compete others. Then the value of the product will be decreased. In this case how retailers can manage their sales. And buyers can face problems with return policies and delivery issues. How to overcome these issues.
ONDC is a platform like UPI any one can build the customer services around it like Paytm has ONDC inside it's app.
Who’s going to take responsibility if anything goes wrong with orders. I mean customer support and all?

Ondc will be a flop. It can't compete with Amazon and Flipkart. If ONDC wins, then the entire retail industry will become miserable. It eill only support wholesalers
No ONDC should be a success because it will support people who make the products for extemly cheap but have to sell to wholesalers for cheap to then those wholesalers sell for very high price.
Lol, you mean due to Amazon and flipkart Retail industry is in good condition! Every mobile buyer when visiting a mobile store says "online to itne kam me mil raha hai".

ONDC is not meant to competion to Amazon and flipkart cause it's meant to be a platform for the common seller who can't access all that , and Amazon and flipkart can partner with ondc if they want.. ,
it's just a platform to connect all players in the system to the common man who owns a buisness

ONDC Food is a worst paltform. Its not customer friendly, food delivery is wrong, takes hell lot of time and no support from customer care
