Make it the best stadium in the world. We can't spend money on players because off psr etc. So make a a huge statement on the stadium and make it the best of the best.

@tf6940 No, but it makes us more appealing to players who can win more games, and trophies, especially if we have a new state of the art training centre too. All of that infrastructure, lures players.

It looks like it is happening, the Freemen and council should jump at the chance to endorse this, as the impact on the city would be immense! Leases park site is a must, keeping the stadium in the city, local business will thrive if this happens

I can't speak for everyone, but we love SJP. However. It is 130 years old. It's getting old. Memories will never die.
PIF have only had 3 years, and to accelerate the already amazing acceleration, we have to get a new ground.

It's not just about NUFC. This region has suffered for decades from underinvestment compared to the southeast and Manchester. If the Saudis are willing to make massive investments into the region, it will inevitably draw in more, and that is why a new super stadium is a fantastic idea.. and long overdue. It's the future that we all need!

If the new stadium is going to be on Leazes Park, can seat 70K + and can double our match day revenue then I'm softening to the idea. I'd obviously be sad for us to leave St James Park and I'd love us to remain "the cathedral on the hill", but if we want to be serious contenders then this is a move we need to make

Great video Chris. For me it’s a no brainer to build a new stadium. It should be a statement stadium, biggest/best/awesome. There is no way to please all the fan base but for me what helps is to think of it as a new player every 2 games (if we double the match day revenue) even more if we build hotels (which we can sell to ourselves to raise money for players in the future) add in a best in the world fan zone, retail park etc etc……all revenue for the club. And for those who say it’s about more than money I agree but the more than is supported by money. Two possibilities….. stay where we are and we stay where we are, a club struggling to compete, top 10 at the best with aging players we can’t sell OR the team in the UK with the best stadium competing with ManUre for title of top revenue, buying the best players and competing for the top 3. I know which I would choose.

The Saudi's didn't buy the stadium, they bought the popularity. It's got to be a new stadium. A 90k stadium, packed to the rafters, has a really good look.

As one of your older subscribers I was privileged to watch Super Mac at SJP, however the stadium then was unrecognisable with what we have now. The atmosphere in the Leazes End before it lost its roof was quite magic, but do I miss the stadium as it was, hell no. Would I miss what we have now with some iconic 75000 stadium on the hill, hell no.

  • @steveningram3732

Hi. I see both sides also. My preference would be a brand new stadium within the city. It doubles our match day income and Miller said it’d be nearby which is the clincher for me. We wouldn’t be in debt for years either like Spurs. No brainer really but current season ticket holders should get preference for their seats at a new place.
Second choice would be complete rebuild on current site with a temporary stadium built for duration (they’ve done it previously). Extension is expensive and wouldn’t boost the club much at all.

    • @steveningram3732
      @steveningram3732 12 часов назад

Also state of the art youth academy and training ground would be very much welcomed. PIF won’t be around for ever and investments like this outside of PSR would set up the club we love for generations to come.

My impression is a lot of the fans have come around to the idea of a new stadium. In my opinion, we should do it now, whilst the opportunity is there, but if we do, we should go large. Yes, St James will be a massive miss, but this is a once in a lifetime opportunity. 85k seats. My preferred location would be on the old telewest arena site, if the housing developer is willing to sell it. I don't think they'll do it behind the old one, but interesting to hear other's opinions.

We need a brand spanking new Supa Stadium. This chance isn't going to come around, probably, ever again. Thus, we need to move. Hopefully in the city centre, eg, Leazes park. St, James's park has past its sell by date, years ago. We have to grab this with both hands...
Lets get an 80, 000 safe standing, seater, Super Stadium to be the envy of the world. To hold concerts, etc, etc. To max rev.
St - James's is to Ltd, in where we want to be. Think of the feature generations...

No. This is not the feeling of the people of Newcastle. Let me explain.............
A very important lesson from history...'Never sell your soul for money and success, you will be truly lost.'...
You see, Newcastle is a people. A tribe. We are not like any other football club. We're not divided like Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, London, Yorkshire or any other region within this fine country. We have heritage. We have a home. There is little like us left, and you feel it every time you set foot outside of our place of worship. Because, that is exactly what it is. It is coloured by our history over many generations. A wonderful and powerful thing.
So take the greed from your eyes and be shamed by gifts and coin. They are not Newcastle. Remember the feeling and reason why. Do not enter our home with promise only to rip apart our heart and soul. Build on what we already have instead. It is already priceless.
Long live St James' Park. Our cathedral on the hill. Let us build our walls high and defend her against this madness of greed. Turn your heads and see her. She is us............

In my opinion i think there is more chance of the saudis selling up than investing in an expansion or a new stadium. The Premier League have done nothing but kick the living daylights out of the saudis since they have arrived, most of the league are in cahoots with the cartel 6 as is evidenced from todays vote and the saudis and the Rubens have bent over and spead themselves eagle with no fight at all.
