The thing about this year's Serbian national selection is that it's really diverse and literally everyone can find at least one song they like based on their taste. Congrats to RTS for such a high production this and last year as well🇷🇸🙌
Hurricane is essentially a brand. The OG members contacts have ended and they’ve signed up 3 new members of the group now. It’s a relatively new concept in Serbia and while the girls have big shoes to fill they’ve actually done alright so far. From left to right think of them as Sanja, Ivana, Ksenija with their ‘strengths’. Their stage presence is going to be questionable as we still don’t really know what they’ll be like. As much as i like their music and feel they are the best choice, realistically they are too mainstream balkan to represent Serbia just at the moment. Luke Black is a favourite at the moment but I’d also be happy with Savo Perovic as his song/image would appeal to that pop scene that gets much of the western market going. The song is catchy and the fusion of modern with east and ethnic is done well IMO.

They original Hurricane girls from 2021 disbanded last year, so they just got replaced by a new trio, which kept the original name of the band and the legacy attached to it. Also Luke Black for Serbia 2023 🇷🇸
I'm in love with Viva la Vida by Duo Grand ! Mixing rock and opera, I think it is so original and memorable ! My personal favorite of this selection. But Serbia got really good entries this year, they have a large choice !
The song was hyped up a lot. The mixing of genre is really strange. Folk-rock, turbofolk, opera… it just doesn’t sound right and was expected to be much more than it has turned out IMO. In my opinion probably the most disappointing of the lot.
Luke Black seems 2 be a LGBQT+ friendly artist - 🏳🌈💛which d be very interesting for Serbia as a representative from song its outstanding catchy and generally I love the many different genres you find 💜
Well despite Serbia is not the frontrunner in LGBT+ acceptance it's not that we would be represented for the first time by someone at least friendly, like Konstrakta and Hurricane. Also Bojana and Marko Kon (I know for a fact that he is a super cool guy, and I have met both of them at a gay guy birthday party). And let's not forget Marija Šerifović.
could you please react to the offical video of one of this years czech artists in ESCZ - Vesna and their song My Sister Crown? It is very controversial concept...I dont know anymore what to think about it. Do you feel, is the song spreading the russian propaganda of sisterhood - brotherhood of slavic nations or is it spreading sympathy of Czech Republic fo Ukraine? I am reading both in the comments...but mostly negative comments from Ukrainians 😵 The song is btw in czech, bulgarian, english and ukrainian. Would love to see your option on this.
