    Rams going RB in the 3rd round makes a lot of sense now. The Rams clearly knew the foot was more serious than they led on which is why RB became a much bigger need than expected. Im so happy we picked Corum now because now seeing how a 2 headed monster is much needed when Williams gets healthy. They really nailed this draft in for their needs as followed.
    - Lost Donald(for now) but had 2 good picks in Verse and Fiske combined with Turner/Young getting a year more experience. I feel great about the D-Line.
    -Williams has a foot injury but Corum is a great pick with similar attributes which will mitigate that risk
    -Their Oline was invested in FA and Avila has another year experience.
    -DB/Safety was heavily addressed in the offseason/draft.
    These Rams will be contenders while SF's picking late in the draft and one of the oldest teams in the league.

      I don’t think they necessarily knew his foot was more serious than they let on… I think they knew if it wasn’t the foot, it would be the hamstring. Or the hip. Or the shoulder. Or something.

    I wonder if Sean will dial up a 2 RB set of plays and formations. I could see some imaginative screens and run plays with that.

    • @aizentaicho82
      @aizentaicho82 7 месяцев назад

      @@juanscott7130 for starters we now have a litany of good backs. Kyren, Ronnie, Bart and Blake. Much like the 49ers they can use a 2 back set to throw off the defense. There are many ways to deploy them. Primarily they can do an I formation, offset I or even a wishbone. They can motion the RB out to the slot or any other receiving/TE position and keep the defense guessing if they are running a route, blocking, block releasing or getting the ball on a handoff. Combine that with play action and the ability to hand the ball off to the remaining RB in the backfield and it could open lots of possibilities for the offense.

    • @juanscott7130

      THATS NOT GONNA WORK A TWO BACK SET. IN ANY FORMATIONS. TO CLOGGED UP .RUN A SPREAD FORMATIONS. THREE WIDE ONE TIGHT END.

    I like how everyone has jumped on it's because William's foot has to be worse than previously said in their comments. The fact that McVay wanted to have a dual threat at RB regardless of any injuries is just being missed, is crazy to me.
    Let's use logic, RBs always get banged up. What do you think is going to happen if they just use Corum? Likely to face an injury, Corum has had injuries in his college career 🤷🏾‍♂️. This is all about this rookie being positioned to help William's so neither has to take more abuse than necessary.
    Also, no other RB we've used has helped the offense continue to produce, so this is a good sign that we will have two backs that can help our offense not drop in production regardless of which RB is in.

    Corum has never underperformed in his entire career, being easily the most consistent RB out of that draft. People speculate on how good JJ Mcarthy really is because Corum made his life so easy. A good example is when Michigan didnt even need to pass the ball vs Penn St 2023, because Corum tripled the pass yards for the game. Plus he'll go and entire season without turning the ball over, as the person that handled the ball the most.

    • @miked5908
      @miked5908 4 месяца назад

      Well JJ has elite talent as well ,can we both agree on that sure any good rb makes life better for a QB. And Corum is everything you want as a Back or a football player in general, besides his natural ability ,his work ethic really stands out that is instantly respected by coaches, veterans etc. He's a good kid on and off the field, the only flaw on him is he will turn 24 this season meaning his window is probably only 5 to 6 years, I definitely think he's capable of being one of the better backs,

    • @stephensutton1131

      Running the ball is better than staying one dimensional and forcing Stafford to throw 40 plus times a game. We needed a running back, our offense is actually built to have a run game to play the pass off of, not the other way around.
      Throwing the ball all the time is how Stafford got hurt, thumb, shoulder, ankle. Injuries are a part of the game, but no position takes more abuse than a RB. This is not a knock on Kyren, the kid is awesome. Missed 5 games and still finished in the top three at his position, Corum is the help needed so the team can spread the workload and minimize the wear and tear on both RBs

    49ERS Shannahan is always focused on defense and this is how they win the division and get close in the SB. 49ERS are focused on how to beat the Chiefs , RAMS should think the same as Shannahan.

      The system is 2 much 4 Evans 2 grasp right now. He isn't sharp enough 4 the complexity of rams run game. He needs 2 go 2 a team that just let's him find the hole and go!! He lacks in pass protection as well. He is a great Back just not on the right running scheme.

    • @larryglasper7605

      @@stoptheFallofAmerica After all that system calling sh#t you are still handing off the F-ing ball and the RB job is to FIND the hole.( LINEMEN your job is to make the hole problem SOLVED. ). If EVAN failed to find the hole ( EVANS had no problem finding the hole in college ) the problem could be there was NO hole. Only the RAMS need ( They should be the NFL # 1 leading rushing team )all 11 personnel for blocking and still can't find the F-ING endzone come redzone time. Puka 1,481 yds , 105 catches and 6 td's but can't find endzone come redzone time.
