@@Shortcuttravels alright, meanwhile here in Malaysia, Canyon’s Ultimate pricing is roughly the same as Giant TCR. Funny enough, Giant TCR is only like 500 USD cheaper than the likes of Trek Emonda, Specialized Tarmac, Orbea Orca, Colnago V3, etc. Therefore Canyon is not really value for money. However, Polygon is very good value. Along with Merida.
I think what makes an important difference is that you don’t buy a Canyon in a regular bike shop. You buy it at Canyon. This way the profit goes to Canyon rather than to share it partly with the retailer. This way they can save money. Still, I think prices nowadays are ridiculous…
Perfect Bike. Just ordered exactly the same bike but in color stealth with the canyon logo in green (this color its not available in M size here). One question that i don't know yet, this Rotor crank have a powermeter in it? thank you!!
Nice Bike! Out of curiosity how much did duties and taxes cost for it to be shipped to Canada? I saw in another video you mentioned Veloholic so I guess you are in Vancouver? Thank you :)
its luck of the draw.. my first two canyons got taxed 18% but this Aeroad was only 5% so it was a major shock. Unless something has changed a fully assembled bike should be 18% duty +tax
Did you buy it online and receive it at home, that is, in which country? Was the cost vs benefit worth it? Did you already know the brand? If you can, say a little more. Grateful! Itamar Brasil
Aunque sea nueva en caja.. Lo que haría seria desarmarla entera, revisar las grasas, volver a armarla y ajustarla desde cero... No confío en el armado de fabricación si le dieron los ajustes y engrases como corresponde
I chose this one at the time since it was $800 cheaper so it came with rotor crank. They probably had a bunch to get rid of. Now they only sell the full dura-ace
Go down in size. It’s easier to put a longer stem on a short bike than fixing a too big bike. I would anyway contact Canyon customer service to get help.
Well, they will go bankrupt if they do not adapt to the new world people is asking for price reductions and we the costumers are the ones we decide whether we buy it or not, and the companies seems worry now. And btw Mathieu van der Poel won. So more market for Canyon and its market strategy
Direct to consumer bikes aren’t new my guy, and bikes well over 10k have existed even longer, so maybe just be stoked there’s a brand like Canyon instead of judging others on what they value, you just sound jealous and resentful.

Sorry - I should have said first - that is a sick color. I had a 73 Plymouth Roadrunner in high school a very similar color called Plum Crazy Purple. @@Shortcuttravels
@jwfriar what's the deal in USA? I checked the website too and only 1 bike lol it's almost like there's a bike mafia and they limiting canyon direct sales...
This color is freakin‘ gorgeous!
This reminds me of when I was the bike builder at Pep Boys in the mid-80s.
Beautiful bike.
this is what a top top tier bike should cost, take notes specialized, trek and cannondale
How much is this Aeroad and how much is an S-Works SL8 of the same spec?
@@ariffauin Canadian dollar s work sl8 is 18000. Aeroad I got was 11300

Kicking myself for not getting one in this color when they were still available!
@@fhowland its a definitely a beauty!
Seams to be the new frame revision, since the seat tube mount is different 👍.
Where did you get this colour? It seems not available for the public until now.
Ordered direct from Canyon.com shipped to Canada. They also have a ultimate in their color.. it's so nice
What is your inseam? Is the stem length 90 mm too short for you?
Bonne route 😎
My dream bike!😍

Were pedals included? Not sure if i should buy clipless straight away with the bike or just buy it at some later point.
@@qwerty-or1yg pedals not included but for a bike like this you have to go clipless
what is final weight ? with pedals, cages and computer mount, nice bike :D
I'll make a new video once the pedals are on

@@melchorilano5485 I'll take that lol
Will you cut the steerer tube? For me, bridge pads always look bad.
Still waiting for warmer weather to ride it. But if I do lower it I don't need to cut. You can just remove the spacers by design

This CFR is really a splendid bike ! S size => so 62 mm rear wheels and 50 mm front wheel ?
Correct! I wish it was 62mm all around but would need medium or bigger
@@Shortcuttravels same here, do you think that it would be a problem if I get a 62mm even on the front? I'm kinda intrigued in doing so
bellissima! made a review in the future pls
I will! Still too cold in Canada to ride outside
