"Those cars are just kind of for showing off to other people, where this is enough of a car to show off to yourself. This is everything you need to impress yourself" That has to be the BEST assessment of a car I've ever heard. Thank you for an enjoyable review.
@@RRr-yl8zr I’ve had my Chevy SS (Holden Commodore) since new and although I don’t turn to look at it every single time I get out I still turn to look at it a heck of a lot even now.

I love my 2003 C5 Convertible Corvette. Drove it 1750 miles none stop, except for food and fuel, cause it is So Much Fun! Mine is a 5.7 litre 6 speed and gets over 30 miles to the gallon hiway.
Been looking forward to this review ever since the car made a cameo appearance in another video. Much like the Acura NSX you reviewed a couple years ago, I don’t know why anyone would buy an alleged “supercar” costing 2, 3, or 4 times more if the point is performance and not status. Awesome and highly entertaining review. Thank you, Sarah. 👍👍👍
@ I personally like the overall looks of the NSX better except perhaps the taillights on the Vette. You can see more of the engine in the Acura, but of course it isn’t a convertible, so there’s that. I’m also a bit of a Corvette traditionalist so I prefer the last long hood front engine generation over the mid-engine body, but like Sarah, I’m getting used to it. Cheers!
I'm a fan of german cars (porsche, BMW), things with a manual (mercededs before 2011) but seeing Sarah and knowing her levels of competence, I think I need to start looking at a corvette for my next ride.
Would have been so funny if you had worn white New Balance shoes, cargo shorts, a vette emblasened polo, and sunglasses during this review. Gotta love an AGE troop doing great things!
I couldn’t agree more about the tremendous boost in supercar credibility the switch from front to mid-engine gives the ‘Vette! The handling rating of 9.9 is a signal that this $100k Chevy is equal to $250k-$350k exotics.
Sarah...you are a Corvette girl!!! You have been for a long time!!!! I don't think the penguins have told you!!!! I've been here since the beginning and I just want to say I'm proud of you and all that you've accomplished! You worked your ass off. Much love and Happy New Year!!!!
Amazing what GM can do when they feel like it! I agree the controversy around the car is pretty much dead and now it's well loved. I really would love a base model with a manual though.
That has got to be your longerest car review yet! But, that doesn't matter. The look on your face, the joy you had talking about it but mosy of all driving it said it all. The smile didnt leave your face!
Having the engine on to open and close the convertible top is not a design flaw. There are several motors operating the top. The motors need adequate power to operate, and you want your battery and charging system to stay functioning. Can you imagine how many people would drain their batteries if they could operate their top without the car running. Signed, Convertible Mustang owner and Chanel subscriber. Thanks for your work and great reviews, you do.
Sarah, how cool that you got a Corvette to review. As another commentor suggested, you've established yourself as a credible and valued reviewer. My favorite is still the bolstering test. Always hilarious. Keep up the great work.
Sarah, I'm not a big GM fan. But the Corvette is great! Bang for the buck, Corvette does it again. I love how your reviews are critical as well as rewarding. Your reviews are freaking entertaining too!😅👍🏁
Great Review! That aggressive break test really shows how fast that thing stops! You should do a review of your top 5 or 10 favorite cars of 2024 you reviewed!
Sarah does such great reviews, so informative, so enthusiastic, so entertaining, concise yet we know everything. And yes, so stylish, colour coordinated for the car. Hey manufacturers press teams, make sure Sarah top of your 'chosen few' for reviews 👏👏👏👍🙂
Thanks for showing my car at the 18:17 minute mark, same except an 88' with Z06 wheels. I love that you're getting the opportunity to give the beans to an amazing American sports car. You can't beat the smile it puts on your face.😄😍😍

Thank you for a great presentation of the American Sports Car!
I smiled with fond memory when you said the engine had to be running to open and close the top. Time was that the 60's and 70's Vettes and Z-28s with hidden lights needed the engine vacuum to open and close the light covers. New is old.❤ PS: I am already anticipating your 2026 Corvette Zora beans test!
Great review. I work at one of the largest Corvette dealerships in the Country (Ciocca Corvette) and I can comment on a few points for you. The PDR "Performance Data Recorder" camera is located in the headliner above the rear view mirror location, not accessible from the interior button. The interior button shows the front facing curb view cameras. You CAN in fact operate the convertible top without the engine running. You can put the top down with the key fob, and you are correct in that the engine/ACC mode needs to be on for the top to go up. It's a great spec too, Hysteria Purple with the Sky Cool Gray interior. Keep up the great job!

That would mean a lot of Tesla owners have (or used to have) white seats. Nice to have choices though.
The seats would look just fine with my Dog. White hair everywhere in my Dark Horse.
Freaking funny ! Whether you have a nice car, or you have children, but never both 🤣
A measure of Sarah's success is getting cars like this in to test. Bravo!

I don't know about that. All the car review channels have started dropping their vids on this car.
And... Give it "the Beans" 🤣
And not a GMA T.33

The smile on your face says it all!
Baguettes and PopTarts should be the standard units for measuring storage volume in the industry.
Agreed. But we need to replace the "golf club" measurement with something a little bit more Sarah-esque.
Nice Tommy Boy reference. I also liked how Sarah sounded a little southern when saying 'Bowling Green Kentucky'.
"You hang on to a car this cherry."
🤣 I noticed that also
3:15 - The "Tommy Boy" reference. Love it! 😅
Who's ass?
That vette would be so much fun to drive! Thank you Sarah for the review and for giving it "The Beans"
Probably the best review by a real driver not a design engineer I have seen on this car. Outstanding.
Sarah reviewing not-SUVs is THE BEST! Thank you, Sarah!!!!
I've been watching you for several years, and I think this is the most fun I've ever seen you have.

The answer to why is quite simple. There are actually 2.
1. Presumed status
2. Personal preference
Do you think this is worth it? I mean the looks alone is nice
