  • One of Dark Souls 3 soundtrack that I feel is too good for the boss associated with it. Anyway, here's my usual schtick with it: lower pitch and/or lower tempo along with an extension (if I feel like it lul)

I imagine this one is the version they'd play on the organ when Saint Aldritch returns to the Cathedral.

This surely fits some really sad and tragic Major Boss Battle (Not the actual Deacons fight oof).... Something around Gherman situation from Bloodborn, where you and him wanted to help other be free out of nightmare.
In my head i got 2 champions fighting each other, both friends back in past, now enemies with opposing goals..
The one thing i truly loved about Dark Souls 3 was the music, thank you for bringing this up in such melancholic version, its amazing and heartbreaking at the same time.

Fantastic idea, though mine is more of the Deacons idea but instead of killing a specific target, it's more of Skeleton Lords but reversed, like how it was with Rennala from ER where you kill a mob of them before facing the real deal without ads

Not really, as the deacons are singing in latin praises for their Saint Aldrich, and declaring how they have betrayed the flame they vowed to worship. It encapsulates the horror of the taboo and mournful degeneracy of the cathedral that has devolved into worshiping monstrosities it originally kept in check.
And in crecendo of the song, they loudly declare their new-found loyalties to Aldrich, singing, praeconem aeta Profunda Aqua. Calling him herald of the age of Deep Water, and continuing how they desire their saint to reduce fire to measly cinders.
It is a song that fits no other boss than deacons, as it essentially is deacons telling their own story to the player.
