Like many others, I was captivated by the "Stranger Things" series when it came out earlier this year and fell in love with its exciting storytelling, engrossing set design and unique blend of creepiness, nostalgia and heartwarming moments. The music adds such richness to the show and I wanted to showcase its strength and versatility in this medley. All sounds in this video were made using a cello. Enjoy!

Been coming back to this video for years. I absolutely love the warm and hearty sound of the Cello. To me, it is the most beautifully sounding instrument, next to the finely trained singer.
This is absolutely amazing, but at 2:14 it just became something even more amazing. It spoke to my soul.

I didn’t think my teacher knew about you but today she showed me the sheet music to this and told me we would be playing it in a recital and I couldn’t be more happy!

I really have sympathy for the guy who plays the fast repeating part at the beginning because my school orchestra is playing this and I am solo on that part and I have to play it 30 FREAKING TIMES IN A ROW and if I mess it up everyone will know.

(Keep in mind I had never even watched stranger things until a month ago) I heard this 3 years ago when I was finding an instrument to play for school orchestra and I looked up cello and this was the first cello video I ever saw.. I ended up leaving the school before I even got to play cello, so I didn’t need to play anymore. Well this Video kept me motivated and I wanted to play cello no matter what. And this was literally the first cello video I had ever watched. And I thought it was sooooo pretty. Anyways I ended up playing cello with private lessons and that’s where I am today. I now go to school for cello (it’s my major in my school) and I plan on basing my whole life career on cello. So thank you Stranger Things and Nicholas Yee...

Stranger Things is my favorite show for now, the music and the scene at the beginning of the show appeal to me so much !!
