This game was played and recorded in Songs of Syx version 66 beta [ea66].
I generally post guides, battles and other content in Songs of Syx, which is a medieval fantasy colony sim and city-builder with grand strategy elements. You can transform a humble village into a city-state and/or form a vast empire. The combat is in an RTS style, similar to Total War. The game is currently in Early Access on Steam and has a FREE DEMO for you to try.

*The king of DRAGONIA:* "Why the other kingdom won't trade with me?! But why the other kingdom won't trade with me?! The only visitors so far is the Pilgrim, and bandits, ah, bandits, hah, I can't go on like this, Our money's gonna be run out soon, We need a trade partner, But they won't even want to come here. WHY?!"
*The servant looked shaken enough to hear the King concerns:* "King~? I, I think I know why they won't come here, Or they won't even come here in inch, Our kingdom, I, I..."
*The King:* "SPEAK, tell me now, Why won't they even visit here."
*The servant:* "oh ok, yo-You have to see this, I, I cannot explain how, but you have to see it yourself" *( **2:39** ) [The yellow Square is the reason why, It's just taking over one square, YES, just one]*
*The King* ( - _ - )
*The servant* ( o _ o )
*The servant:* "so-So what do we do now..?"
*The King speak before he said another word:* "I know, I have to do now. *(He began to speak the public the bad news)* My people. We are a peaceful 'racist group,' I know, ha, but. THIS IS WAR!!!"
Thank you for the information Oshan Man, I'm wondering why I cannot trade other kingdoms, but this is useful to know, and now I'm gonna rate my next door neighbor, hoping it fixed my commodity, and now I'm gonna make billions now. Hoping the neighbors not gonna be mad, or even sending their friends to eliminate me. haha~ I got bored so I just made a short story, hehe~

interesting that the game doesnt count it straight off the path and the dock being in region is somehow integral to the connection. wonder what fine Italian spaghetti code causes that lol

It’s a simple fix and close enough on the pronounce of my name. It’s a Scottish last name. Funny how that was all I needed to do. And for anyone who continues with me on my save or has this issue in the future hope it helps.

So was it a feature or a bug?
In this game the answer should be "yes" 😂
I did send in a save where population had gone from 900 to 800 but I ended up fixing it myself, got to 5000 population before calling it quits on that game, just in case one of the two you talked about were mine. You're still welcome to it since I reckon your solution will be faster than whatever I did.

Why does this all look so different to the the game I just started playing last week?
This save file was played in the v66 beta whereas you're probably playing on the current live version of the game (v65) or the demo (v63)
