I see the NAR fortress starting to crumble. One side of me thinks it’s time to go, but the other side thinks of what corruption and ridiculous regulations outside parties will bring to real estate without NAR..and that’s a bit nerve wracking as well.

It's starting the crumble. I agree. Let's see how this goes.

@ Would be nice if we formed a DAO of licensed agents to be the new NAR. Everyone would have a voice. If done right it would still have the lobbying power and clout we need to protect real estate rights from the political sharks.

But if there is no NAR, who they gonna sue?

NAR says that state and local associations can allow access to forms and MLS access as they choose, just not as Realtors. The Three Way agreement does not prohibit that. I spoke to them a few days ago before they served this stupid C&D letter to Phoenix. I agree with you. There are many changes coming. Without offering a choice, NAR is going to lose more people. I'm going with MLS Choice. I commend Phoenix for being a true advocate of licensees in our state. I love AAR and wish I could be a member but NAR will not decouple from them.

Forced togetherness! You have to join to be able to work!!! No membership, no mls, no showing time, no lockbox access

Makes sense. Let's see how this rolls out.

PAR wants to play both sides: To be the local realtor board benefitting from NAR's empire AND capitalize on agents that are fed up with three levels of membership dues and new realtor restrictions. NAR clearly is taking issue - as they should. Local associations are outdated relics of the past that should be rolled into state associations, which makes PAR's actions even more audacious as it's NAR they owe credit for remaining relevant.

Yeah. We are seeing now brokerages jumping in and giving their agents. Let's see where this ends up.
