The quality of your videos is top notch. I've learned a whole lot (i.e. Space). I have many requests but it seem you have your hands full. :) About the sheeps, they sampled them on their remix of Policy of Truth too. A remix I really like.
Thanks Matt for all of these KLF vids. I feel like I understand this allusive band much more and do appreciate them for their artistry and not just their record music catalog. Enjoying all the recent videos and like the idea of new records in your life. I'm the same, I buy a lot and sometimes it takes me months or a year to get to listening. Cheers and happy Friday.
Great video and series! Looking forward to Part 6, more industrial as well as a slightly different format (as mentioned in the comments). Having said that, don’t forget to rant once in a while 😁
You are a wealth of knowledge many just can't or don't put it together. "Quantity and Quality" Take your videos and break into a 3 part episode - 2 x 10 min, 1x 5 min ending. Then release them over one day. 9 AM, 12:PM & 6 PM. You will see results if you keep to that over a month.
Yeah, I think you’re onto something there. It’s all about keeping them short. I will say that analytics show me that most people revisit the videos later, so they’re still watching them all eventually. I plan on trying different things.
@@occasionalfeelgood23 10 minutes is a good length for watch time (better pay out of over 10 min watched videos as well), and it is better if you have 90% viewed of a 10 min , than it being 37% of 25 min. Also having some short content, like the last 5 min being an over all impression of it. Period impact, etc, would nudge people to look at the other 2 ten min, for that episode. By it being staggered and repeated releases over weeks, it pushes you up in the algorithm as well. As you always have new content at higher watch times. For higher draw in searches t, take the time to meta tag names you say in the episodes. It helps to draw up via search results for reviews. Mogwai
every time i click on these videos, regardless of whether i know about the bands or not, i end up watching the whole video, even if it's 30+ minutes long. it really speaks to the quality factor here. i've been exposed to some incredible music through this channel that i probably never would have discovered otherwise. so thank you, @Occasional Feelgood!
Every time I hear someone talk or read something about the KLF and their art, I'm left in absolute awe. To me, I think the KLF cared deeply about not caring at all, and they were fully committed to that one idea. The KLF's history was obviously very rich with antics, so I'm surprised that you haven't mentioned the documentary film about them that came out somewhat recently, "Who Killed the KLF?" It's not the greatest documentary film of all time, I don't think, but it gives a pretty good overview of the duo's artistic trajectory (outside of the music.) It's definitely an example of one of those awe-inspiring KLF stories.
I didn't know about it when I made these videos, and I'm glad I didn't. I tried watching it and couldn't sit though it, pretty bad. But I already know their story, so I can see the worth in it for some.
A Foetus and Swans vid would be awesome if poss.
Keep up the great work bud. Manchester UK 🤘🤘
Noted!

Yeah I was gonna say, dude is killing it with this series ! I have learned more about KLF than I ever dreamed of !!!
@@thethree60five Yep, I’m beginning to look into that. I haven’t bothered to look at any analytics until last week, haha.

I digging the videos lately. I would like to hear about and see your DHS collection. As well as more industrial.
I’ll definitely do DHS, you can count on that. As well as much more industrial.
