nope because you weren't band from seeing, and absolutely not there wouldn't be any white nights because it's not about your culture it's about black culture not white culture so there really is no reason any of you need to see it.
IT IS absolutely racist to have an "only black audience". If there was an "only white audience" night, black people would be rioting. Things like this keep racism alive. @@arirobi4313
@@arirobi4313 Wow, what an insidious comment. Last time I checked we're in a free country so we don't need a reason to see things. In fact, I believe the show actually does focus on it from a white perspective as well. You're obviously a racist and detestable person.
We don’t have to imagine..the table has and is currently turned as black people are continually being oppressed under this white supremacist society. Exactly the reason why this play exists and black people require safe spaces to relive such traumatic and painful content

On their website info regarding legality. I guess they got round it by not actually turning anyone away, while trying to max out their targeting of select customers on a private event: How is this legally accomplished? We did not prevent or preclude anyone from attending the BLACK OUT performances. While the intention of BLACK OUT was clearly to create a space for as many Black-identifying audience members as possible, nobody was turned away.
Do you know what, I feel genuinely offended by this theatre and theatre group to prevent white indigenous audiences from seeing the play on two days every week. This racism pure and simple, let’s try this out but the other way around and watch the reaction from the media.
I am afraid that this is happening more than just this one event. This is happening in workplaces as well. In the United States. It is also happening with college scholarships. If there were scholarships for "whites only" there would be court cases filed. But scholarships for "blacks only" are just fine. Yes, I am afraid that now there may be some serious issues. Equality for all.
They maintain that they want the play to be seen by "the widest possible audience" yet then state that they want to send the message to black audience "you're invited. Specifically you". The reasoning is that black people have to be "radically invited" into "a place where they often do not feel safe". Genuine question :That may well be true of the U.S. but is it true of London?
Can't they just say" black people, we would like you to watch this as this kinda relates to you". Kinda like other black productions do. More and more black people are going to theatres to watch shows. This is symptomatic of fringe voices that are now becoming part of the mainstream...or at least having their voices out there. There are many other better ways of encouraging BP to go see a show. This isn one. The contrary!
I do not believe it is true any longer here in the US, even in the south where I live. Actually, I believe the opposite is true now. Now white people do not feel "safe" in many different situations. Some of them are workplace. Yes, it is a different world and the tables have turned.
nope he doesn't he was handpicked by the director to be in it and he loves black culture because he isn't a racist his career will be fine after this because it's a really good play that received multiple rewards this will boost his acting career

It's quite obvious that the non white people policy was put in place to create publicity. It makes zero sense to allegedly ban white people from watching the play when one of the lead actors performing is white, too. The theatre production wanted attention, and unfortunately, this is how they feel it will work.
I wished people would use common sense. It's obvious this theatre production is doing it for publicity. If they truly believed in this rule, how can one of the lead actor's performing be white. Strip the Noel Coward theatre of its £150k a year Arts Council taxpayer funding.
Imagine if us 'Whiteys' did that! Hell broke loose... so not right, and slaves were actually saved by the English...
no it wouldn't because no black person cares about white culture..
Isn't that illegal? Are there also going to be only "white" nights?
