G1 Tracks was one of my favorites because he was so unique. I liked how connecting his legs together made the Autobot symbol with flames on the hood. And the wings! And the sunroof flap, for Diaclone, I guess?
I’ll probably hold off on this one until they release the road rage repaint of it, just prefer the look of it and if we’re lucky it might fix the issues with this figure
Great review. While he does look good, the boring flame hood, the issues with holding together and the faux chest made me decide to open up my United Tracks instead. As soon as i find it i will, thanks Emgo for the review!
For the side panels on the legs, i put a small drop of some crazy glue on the inside pins where it rotates. This made the panels more stiff and actually hold on to the small tap on the legs. Made this figure significantly better and more solid.
I still ordered this, the looks alone make up for the legs in my opinion, especially if you are like me and only buy them for the robot mode. So those legs will definitely get a remedy 😉
@@imaginaryfriend4512 Only issues seem to be poorly designed tabs, which can be fixed by the end user, which kinda stinks but is doable with superglue and an X-Acto knife.
Oh man. Everyone has been so excited to get this guy.....and then that excitement turns to disappointment once in hand. His alt-mode is weirdly proportioned, it's almost "super-deformed". Then there's those fenders that don't connect securely in car OR robot mode. But, hey, I'm not as disappointed with Tracks as I am with that Ravage set that costs $53
On the front panel gap in vehicle mode, mine is like that, too. I've had success by applying forward or backward pressure while pushing it in, that seems to allow it to lock into the peg better. I'm a Tracks fanboy so I had to have him and I pretty much agree with this review. He looks great in both modes, but the legs are a downside. I'm also concerned about the car shell holding up long-term.
I'm sort of glad there's so many QC issues with this one. It looks so cool, they are so expensive now, and too many great figures out there. Could use the break in having to add another to the get list!
It’s always surprising to see on how many transformers have “visable head syndrome” or “visable everything syndrome” especially the shellformers… watching this review I just realized that for absolutely no reason
didn’t know the fins at the back were a thing, surprisingly they do a lot to make the flight mode seem intentional. not believable, mind you, but intentional
@@megatron9339 No no, he's right. Sunstreaker's legs are entire different from Tracks. Sunstreaker's feet are formed from the front of his car mode while Track's are not, they're actual feet that's not formed from his vehicle mode parts. I think you meant by the engineering of Sunstreaker's legs should have been used but that won't work either because the legs wouldn't look accurate. They just need longer tabs and shallower slots to fix them.
Even in his chunkiness, I think I still prefer the Reveal the Shield version, the G1 version was chunky too, but RTS didn't have a faux windshield/chest and didn't have the issues this version has.
I gingerly trimmed those 2 tabs on the windshield to relieve the pressure to remove it from the hood. I was too nervous the first time I transformed it. I like the design of Kingdom Tracks but the engineering seemed like a rush job in my opinion.
I removed them, but that was a mistake, i should have trimmed them just a bit, but because i removed them totally, now the transformation is easier, relieves pressure and i feel safer when transforming him, i have 2 gaps at the car hood now but its a small price to pay.
I see you have the same problem as me, with the front wheels section.the sides don't plug very well. maybe because he is a very condensed toy with all its guts inside. I actually expected "High" on this one. Though I don't have issue with the legs.
No one cares anymore since, he's either broken, or in whatever your favorite mode is, never to be touched again. BUT, in case not, his arms in vehicle mode are very difficult to free up. I did discover that if you pull the wings out, and then, twist the forearm to the inside, it'll kinda pop the arm loose, so much easier.
I just put a dab of super glue on the hinge pin that holds the leg panel. Now the leg panels hold its position and does not flop around when I try to pose him. The only problem I had left are the shoulders mushroom pegs, the arms keep popping out when I rotated them
Ah, yes. Now we just need a better version of Knock Out, and these two can have a Battle of the Paintjobs, a war to decide who is truly the most fabulous Cybertronian of all.
Kudos, Mr Emgo, Sir. Your videos are so helpful whe nan old fart like me tries to transform some of these. I just did the fix for the legs (that I saw elsewhere, and that seems to work very well. pre-ordered Road Rage today, and once I get her, I will do that on her before adding her to the group at work
With the front of the car not tabbing in. I would use a hair dryer to put some heat on it and hold it together until it cools down. Had the issue with my Siege Ironhide window not closing down in vehicle mode.
I've heard one theory that the rivets which hold the fenders on aren't driven in all the way. This may be why the tabs can't catch in either mode. The fenders are sticking out too far. The upcoming Road Rage may remedy this issue. She probably won't remedy that clear plastic car shell. That thing is a time bomb.
It's not a theory, I mostly fixed mine by pushing those pins further in, and other people did as well. It really helps a lot. The other reason why the fenders stick out is tight clearance of the feet where they rest underneath the windshield.
For the life of me, I can't get him back into robot mode. It's the damned feet. That sliding joint thing. Edit. Finally figured the damned thing out. Man, that was tough!

M.A.S.K did get referenced in Transformers Prime when Optimus Prime scanned his new truck mode.
