1:31 Well, to be fair, I'm fairly certain this is the first version of Road Rage where you don't need to have a ton of cash on hand in order to purchase.
The Target exclusivity oddly doesnt bother me in this case cause Road Rage is more on the obscure aside. What’s frustrating is that the character has a crappy mold.
This mold feels like a weird backslide to the Classics line as far as looks go, and the crappy shell formers that people use to complain about back when they were rare and not the standard. When looking at how the back folds up I cant help thinking back to the TFP Vehicon. Same sort of top of the car comes off entirely, but the car kibble folded up *very* impressively to discreetly become the legs. The car on the back may be character accurate but when its done like this I cant help think of some random Transformers/Ninja Turtles fan art concept.
It's one of the few exclusives that apparently I can get and I knew her because she's Nautica's bodyguard/simp in the new IDW continuity so I preordered her from Zavvi, hoping it actually arrives. Apparently that issue with the legs is fixable without breaking the figure, it's just that the pin doesn't get all the way, you need an adjustable wrench small enough and some cloth to avoid leaving a mark on the plastic to push the pin in.

Fun fact I noticed messing around with my old G1 Tracks, missing most of his accessories and stickers, and with thoroughly screwed up leg springs - the feet have a considerable gap between them and the legs as well, but are at least joined on both sides. I can see why they only jointed one side for the ankle pivot, but there should have been some type of faux joint connector for the other side, not that that's the least of the Tracks mold's issues

I truly dislike that she has the flames that should have been on Tracks, and suffers from the same QC issues. Also, the floating feet thing is a really weird aspect to come to terms with.
Sadly the only attempt at a Tracks mould that was superior to the G1 toy was the Binaltech one. Tracks and his variants have the misfortune of also being the only serious mis-step by Takara's Masterpiece designers (Hound was a materials problem rather than an engineering one).

I got a notification today that she was shipped, but my Tracks pre-order, despite being placed when he was announced and added to Target's website back in April, kept getting his release date pushed back and Target has a weird system where you have to tell them it's okay to continue the back-order process. Finally they just canceled it altogether because fulfillment couldn't follow through. They seem to have trouble with deluxe and voyager pre-orders, but are good about getting exclusives and leaders to people. I went to a Target today a few cities over looking for Wreck-Gar and instead they had Waspinator, Shadow Panther, and Tracks, which I picked them all up. I had already found a Tracks at a local Walmart, but his transformation is so difficult, I decided I would get another so I could keep one in vehicle mode forever and not worry about breaking him. Might do the same for Road Rage if I can find another in Target.
In my opinion Road Rages Flame Decal would fit Tracks better. The moment I saw Road Rages first promo Pics the first thing that comes to my mind was "That Flame should´ve been put on Tracks."
She actually isn't a new character at all. She was first released around 2000 in Japan and was based off the European Tracks toy that used it's original Diaclone color scheme instead of the revised Hasbro colors
Damn... on the Masterpiece they at least gave her different (more rounded) thighs and upper arms to distinguish her a bit from Tracks and suggest that it could be a Fembot. This one though... I think I'll pass on her...

Wonder if it's possible to switch the shin cover portions? Tracks would look sharp with some more black touches to break up the grays. Not gonna buy her just to try though.

Tracks says I don't know what just happened. I know what happened, emgo came up with the excuse Road Rage is a smoker so he wouldn't have to do an actual female voice because all his skits with females in them are always mysteriously silent. hehe. Either way, your skits are always awesome. ;)

That's the unfortunate part about her original toy being a recolor of Tracks- she'll always be tied to Tracks, whether or not he has a good mold.

Thankfully, there's a very simple fix that doesn't involve disassembling and only takes seconds with a pair of pliers. Easy to search on RUclips too 🙂
