Why would Flemmi testify if he was still never getting out? I wouldn't and wouldn't care if I were killed in prison. Better than doing life in that environment.

@@chicoassmaster4293 ..... I wouldn’t talk unless they were letting me out. Tommy Pitera didn’t talk either. The death penalty was on the table, but it’s extremely difficult to get a Jury to give the death penalty unless you’re an infamous serial killer.

Cardinale's memory is a bit fuzzy on some things. It was Flemmi that recruited Bulger around the mid-70s. Flemmi preceded that. Taken off top-echelon status when on the lam then reinstated when returned. But stayed in contact with Rico and Condon while gone. Flemmi's respected brother was also an informant.

john wayne i agree, especially now that bulger was set up for slaughter in prison. FBI informants are protected in prison, like flemmi and gravano, etc. bulger was hated by the corrupt FBI agents who collected money from bulger for info,.and made them look like the criminals that they are. there won't be any investigation of bulgers slaughter by the FBI, that's for sure.
