unfortunately your math is not correct but neither is another commenter below. .078 percent of 1670 is $1.30. (i just ask google and let AI do the math) but i love the thoroughness and explanation of everything else. its always a chore trying to explain crypto to family and friends and you did that very well.
@@GF_Burke I didn't know so many people had problems running their nano 3s on high. Mine was the 509th unit shipped and I've had it on high ever since I got it. (Knock on wood)I have extremely cheap power, only 0.06usd p/kwh so I run it on kryptex BTC pool (merge mining BTC and FB) and it's been making about 0.22 usd a day after power. I almost bought several more to give as Xmas presents but after hearing about all the people having trouble I guess I'm glad I didn't. Good luck to y'all hitting that lottery and Merry Christmas
im looking into starting but im interested in mining lite coin could you do a video on on a day mining lite with this machine if my math is right the profit would be very nice daily i just would like to see if its right before i invest in a nano 3 & wallet since im very new to the crypto scene
The Problem is that Litecoin (LTC) uses the Scrypt Algo.... the Nano is Sha-256. There is a Litecoin Cash (LCC) that uses sha-256 algo... but the entire block reward is 93.75 LCC which is about .35 cents.
Solo mining? I am about to buy 2 more nanos or maybe a goldshell mini myself and would love to have the ease of use and config that I had when I was mining with nicehash... multiple rigs... no problems setting up the miners... but solo... im afraid im back in learn mode myself.
this is due to the power supply you're using. i'm guessing its rated for 140watts but isn't quite able to supply that. I purchased the power supply that canaan offered and I'm able to run the nano 3 on high (about 4.1 Th/s) The miner says its drawing about 125watts but the power supply is pulling 140watts at the wall.
@@YoungValor ouch, thats a shame, sorry to hear that. i did hear there were some people that had problems. did you contact support to see if they could replace it or is it too late? I opened mine up and added several little aluminum heat sinks to chips on the control board side after watching a video from redpanda. i dont know if i just got a good unit or if the heatsinks helped
this particular pool does use PPLNS....(Pay Per Last N Shares".. basically "eventually" I will get a share. Not Pool hopping.... so I will just see. Thanks for the information!! if this works out I will just keep it on this pool.

Thanks for the respectful comment. Means a lot as I continue to try to get this info out. Much appreciated.
Way off on math. You get about 13 cents. Move that decimal left 3x
Got 4 of them running. Only run on medium. I use HP/Dell PSUs... USBc adapters.
I went and purchased the canaan oem powersupply and it still only runs medium.
@@blackInvestmentsmatter Well I can run 'high', but you don't want to. I already had one RMA'd from doing that.

I was having difficulty adding workers, any thoughts?

Mine dies on high mode, have to run on medium. DOn't know why temp is 30c
I'm getting about the same result (37-41c)... unit shuts down within 2 mins of running at high.

In solo only person who get paid is who find the block. You join PPS or PPLS pool if y'all sharing the award. Solo award for BTH is $250.
