    I have a bag of BHO control boxes. All repaired, reconditioned by an electrical engineer.. If you are ever stuck I can send some to you to get you out of a situation.

    Have a Grant Vortex blueflame which keeps locking out. Will suggest to my engineer he checks the UV sensor which should be 40mm to 41mm from end of sensor to grommet.
    Thanks

      No problem, Electrodes and capacitors also cause many issues on the blue flame. Have a great weekend!

    The satronic 701 (830 forerunner) and early Danfoss BHO 11 were prone for the solenoid relays to jam and the tap on the top of the box cleared it!

    Great video again. Just wondering is the 832 control box only meant for commercial because you mentioned it’s 2 stage lifting 1 coil and then a 2nd coil. Is it ok on a domestic burner with just a single coil and could it be replaced with an 830 as the burner has an intermittent fault and I’m suspecting it’s the control box.cheers another superb and informative video again. Hi. The 832 can be on some 2 stage pumps that are on the slightly bigger firebirds. always hady to keep one on the van. If a 832 is on a boiler but only 1 coil then you only need a 830. What burner is it and what is it doing? Rob

      It’s a Worcester greenstar utility boiler with a Bentone burner 1998, 15-19 kw. The burner has a black plastic housing jutting out underneath the control box for air adjustment. It fired up totally fine when I was there, no issues whatsoever but she says it’s been playing up since the 12th July. It’s went to lockout and she’s pressed it and away it’s went but on Sunday night when she pressed the lock out the motor went but no ignition, and then one time there was nothing when she pressed the lock out. Worked like a dream for me today. The coil had been changed in 2020 by someone else her previous service guy. I know Bentone can be temperamental reg the coil so I fitted a new one for her anyway. Now the capacitor is 2.5 microfarads but I thought since motor going it’s ok or is it, I’m not so sure now. As I said her control box is an 832 EGDB I think. I have an 830 satronic but I’m really not sure if that’s the root cause. Anyway if you have any suggestions that would be much appreciated. I used to watch MJ Tiff plumbing but I think he’s out the window now I’ve found you. I can’t believe you got back so promptly. I’m just a we Irish fella working on my own with no mentor to turn to, cheers lol.

      @@robertpeters8531 ok so the charge on the capacitor is to low so even though it works now , it will not when the wether changes and you will be back! The fault is the transformer not always working because it has been over heated by the control box. The control boxs are known for getting tired and holding the spark on to long which then damages the transformer. So stick a 830 and EBI transformer on it and all will be good ! ( Hopefuuly!) Double check electrodes and leads are ok as well and also a good nozzle is in. Then fully set up and you will look a HERO!. Hope this helps and good luck. Rob

    I've always wondered what the purpose of a 2 stage oil pump???

    • @BartonOilBurnerServices
      @BartonOilBurnerServices  4 месяца назад +1

      Thanks for the comment. The reason is if it is a bigger output boiler it needs a softer start is get the boiler going and once it starts to warm it kicks in more power and heat with the second nozzle. It stopped poor explosive starting. Have a great weekend.

      @BartonOilBurnerServices Just checking. Did you say second nozzle??? I haven't seen a burner with a second nozzle?? Can you elaborate on what burner you are talking about.
      Thanks again and keep educating me please 🙏 🙂

      @@fionnan2811happy Yes on commercial units they have a nozzle for soft stage one and a second nozzle to fire stage 2 to give it full throttle. I want to say Riello burner RBL32?. On domestic boilers like Worcesters. It just has one nozzle but 2 stages of pump pressure. Low and high. Hope this all makes sense.

    Thanks as always for your most informative insight & knowledge Rob. Pass my kindest regards onto your long-suffering wife & I dearly hope her Thrush has cleared up??
    Also, I’m eternally grateful for the shout out to my good self. Even my wife Olive remarked on my notoriety, but unfortunately, you can’t rely on her clarity or understanding - she’s currently on two bottles of Gin per day!!
    A terrific look at Control Boxes & one wee tip I was given as a fledgling engineer, which I found handy. Some have the ‘times’ stamped on the box, so you can check the control sequence of the Burner.
    Thanks again luv Dick Puller ❤️❤️❤️
