Enjoyed your photography and descriptions on train destinations! I was surprised to see two different trains destined for Friona, Texas, population barely 4,100. Google maps indicated loop tracks for an unloading facility which must be the actual destination. I visited Friona often many years ago. I suppose the grain trains are for the numerous feed lots. The Friona area was once a very large grain producing area. These days it is too expensive to pump irrigation water out of the ground for crops. Apparently that area is now a "net importer" of grain. The very large grain elevator there, as best I can tell, is no longer served by the railroad.
Good evening!!! Likewise it was nice meeting you as well and maybe not so many jail birds again *nervous chuckling* And yes SP needs to get himself up to Fort Madison next time! Have a good night!
I took Amtrak from Los Angeles to Chicago in the Summer of 2021, and what a GREAT RIDE. Going RIGHT THERE thru Fort Madison, was on the route--BOTH WAY'S.
Thank you for this... I'll be on #3 on Friday Dec 23rd. ... but it'll be dark... This was the part I was looking most forward to. So happy I got to see what it looks like from pretty much every angle. I've been watching Virtual Railfan cam for months.
Wow, great filming and great sound! I really enjoyed that! I love watching the trains at Ft. Madison, and really enjoyed seeing what township looks like. Many thanks!
Awesome compilation video. Love it keep up the good work. Looking very professionally done and edited 😊👍 by the way are you in a helicopter or airplane in the clip of the train view from up in the air?
@@BNSFFREAK747 oh so how do you use the drone and how can it film the video if you’re not filming it yourself? I don’t know how this works. Could you give a little explanation please?
@@transittown7891 I am filming it myself. The drone has a camera in it which I watch from my remote. But it does not make any sound. I have to use a separate ground based camera to make sounds for my drone videos then I edit them in my video editing software. Hope this helps!
Overhead shots are great!
Nice video scenery is great!
😊❤ love the video whoever did the overhead shot outstanding job double thumbs up all day long

I enjoyed this video which shows standard Fort Madison trains from a different angle. What is a Intermodal labelled car?
Wow
Is Cob Box in this video?
Guy with ballcap leaning against rail at 23:26 lol
What power was on today's 4?
Awesome videos! How many trains run through here in 24 hours?
@@davidcoleman958 Thanks!! It could be anywhere from 45 to 60 trains daily.
I especially liked the details on the pelican. But was he loaded or empty? Good but, you can do better! Lol
When you are trying to relax on the beach they are usually loaded 🤮 and I shall try to do better!!!! 😔
Grain train loaded.
