The premium wash on a GT wash uses a two pass pre-soak. The "random blast of water" was caused by a missing nozzle on the passenger side when the pre-soak changed nozzle groups. This causes all the pressure to be lost to the rest of the nozzles. The tri-foam just needed the water/air mixture adjusted to make it "wetter". The rinse likely needed to have the gantry speed slowed a bit to do a better rinse and the dryer did cut out early, an indicator that the photo eyes are failing or the timer is just set wrong. These should be simple, cheap fixes. If the owner is not keeping up on the maintenance, shame on them.
These old Mark VII's are NOTORIOUS for their odd wash cycles... I've seen one programmed just like this. If they're serviced by ryko, chances are they're reprogrammed and not using this odd presoak pattern. Sadly, our last original Mark VII just got replaced by a softgloss. Also, the sunroof sealing on my old volvo has gotten so bad i've been using the same method as you, lol.
+Marius Pollux I was actually able to fix mine by using a little rubber glue on the corners of the seal and clearing out the sunroof drains with compressed air.
sadly, 1/4 of my seal is missing so i don't think that'll do it for me :( the plastic reinforcement is actually coming off so its a pain in the a** to close it
Actually if they're serviced well, they turn out much better. For example. Many Kwik Trip Stations in the northern Midwest manage these systems really well. There's one near me that's near 8 Years old, and works like new
I have another wash you may want to check out: It is called Detail Driven Car Wash and is in Lake St. Louis. Their facility is new and has at least some AVW equipment. Images suggest they are using top brushes instead of mitters.
Should have gone back into the shop, and got your money back! Surely they would have to give a refund if you came out of the wash worse than you went in?
This actually happened to me a few years ago but with a different system. One time I was getting the car washed at this Exxon time wise station which had a newer looking Laserwash 4000. When if was doing the presoak, the machine stopped before it got to the back of the car and the arm turned at started moving, hitting the back of the car. When this happened, everything just failed. No rinses or anything. So I had to go to church with presoak covering most of the car. Looks like Jesus wasn’t too happy about me getting my car washed 😂
These can be GREAT machines if they are maintained properly. Obviously, the owner doesn’t even care for this wash. It needs to be replaced with a Newer Mark VII or a WashWorld RAZOR.
Now from how it appears this one is relatively good condition in comparison to other Mark VII's around today. The machine itself is poorly designed. They are heavenly bulky especially when your in a truck and you have to fold in your mirrors just to fit in between the gantry. Their is a lot of unnecessary moving parts and they are programmed in the weirdest way that I till this day can not justify as to why they would program it the way that they do. The reason that it sprayed differently on the rear half of the car was because the nozzle was clearly non attached and all of the pressure was going through that fitting. And my assumption is that the do not use spot free water (90% of gas stations don't have a R/O-spot free system) so that "soap" that was left onto the car was drying agent. Drying agent is what makes all drying possible in automatic washing with spot free or not. But clearly they were using a overpowering dose of it.
I think the reason why it went so far back is because, sometimes the makers of the wash make the top wash for trucks and vans, they just probably were too lasy to put a sign up or it flew off.
It didn't go far back at all, it went too far forward and that shouldn't happen because the front of the car will most of the time always be at the same place since it senses the front wheel.
I had gone to a car wash similar to this one at a. Chevrolet and the there was no presoak coming out of the machine. Just water for the presoak cycle. Was very disappointed
I would’ve went back inside the gas station and ask for my money back after the car wash left soap on my car and if the dryers were good to dry off my car and blast off all the soap off my car I wouldn’t worry about going back in the station asking for my money back unless the dryers were terrible drying my car and getting the soap off
I hate to say, that this wash isn’t nearly as bad as a Mark VII Aquajet GT700 I did today. At least this one’s tri foam worked decently, so did the wheel scrub. Neither worked on my wash. All for $9 :)

You do this every day?

+The Elevator Channel I did sorta spray soap on the first and second pass of the 'foam bath'
"And now we're randomly blasting one side with low pressure... something."
LOL

7:44 I love mark 7 but this thing is broken / drunk
Should have gone back into the shop, and got your money back! Surely they would have to give a refund if you came out of the wash worse than you went in?

I like the Mark VII brushes. I believe their top brushes goes reverse and forward

If I went through that wash, and I got that same trash quality of a wash, i would definately go inside and inform the employees about it.
At least now you know not to ever come back.
Did you see all the blue foam leaking out of the pipe in huge amounts during the *Triple* Foam? It's at around 6:10.
Yep! That was a mess!

sary lee
super max1023
I would have complained. That's terrible.
These machines are EVERYWHERE in Richmond. None of them here are that great either.
+thewildeeper there's 2 mark 7's, 1 touchless and 1 soft touch, 1 or 2 miles from my house

Hopefully do a revisit see if its still here maybe if it's acting better or if there's a new system here
Hopefully they now have a Mark VII Softwash XT as the replacement like at the Phillips 66 in Festus MO that you recorded.
that car wash is a mess.
lol love your humor. and I'm not even biased being the programmer for the accutrac 360i

That's actually a Mark VII Profiler (I believe), these systems aren't very good to doing their job anyways.
You should have gone inside and got your money back.
why?
Theses dryer is just BROKEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wow I hope you tried to get your $ back before you left that was horrible.
Worst mark VII car wash ever? Or is the ryko soft gloss xs the worst you've found?

It definitely has a mind of its own! Lol! Have you come across a Saber System yet?
He has now :)
Did you drive up far enough? It beeped but the stop signal didn't illuminate. Maybe you took too much time?
Michael Flores I was thinking that the entire vid also
I live in lexington ky and we have a car wash that looks just like this one, but i dont know if it is good or not cause i have never been to it
2:47 the only reason i like mark VII
E-P-I-C FAIL!!!
i think the car wash forgot how to wash cars
I think I see why it's only a $9 premium wash. You'll have to pay Davy Jones's prices for the full car.
I had gone to a car wash similar to this one at a. Chevrolet and the there was no presoak coming out of the machine. Just water for the presoak cycle. Was very disappointed
Is it me or does the signage of the car wash look like the game board of "Press Your Luck"? lol
How do you compare that car wash to Rick's C-Wash in Lake Ozark, MO?
The system it looks like it use to be a tunnel wash before a touchless system
if you go to Roanoke again could you do the rode way inn
This is actually a 700 lol nice video i just decided to watch your older videos at the moment lol
Holy fuck that was hilarious
Haha, "prowash" is a horrible name lol... because it is NOT a pro at washing cars.... so it's not a “prowash”!
It’s a “patheticwash”!!!!! LMAO
@CWL2010 - ROBLOX & More! Pro means for/forward in latin.
So it might mean forwash
But at other locations, it might be better
At least it cleaned your tires. :)
It probably hasn’t calibrated the length of the car properly
You mean that car wash system did not pour soap on your whole vehicle?
I Just Went Through A Mark IIV Today.
on cops tv show tonight I saw this car wash in the background
Yeah
I would’ve went back inside the gas station and ask for my money back after the car wash left soap on my car and if the dryers were good to dry off my car and blast off all the soap off my car I wouldn’t worry about going back in the station asking for my money back unless the dryers were terrible drying my car and getting the soap off
Do have fun in car washes?
It has tire scrubbers
YEP THE DRYER IS SUS
maybe they dont want you to by a wash because they saw how horrible this car wash is
I hate to say, that this wash isn’t nearly as bad as a Mark VII Aquajet GT700 I did today. At least this one’s tri foam worked decently, so did the wheel scrub. Neither worked on my wash. All for $9 :)
Now its in front of the Car Washing The Floor
Also can you do a video driving your car? it has a nice acceleration sound.
Talk about screwed up controller XD
That's a bad coating of tri foam.
wow what a total scrap heap that whole wash turned out to be
Ha ha 😂 oh dear dude
It’s a GT-700
Owner is probably a cheapskate.
This is a GT-700. Proof: 500s are blue. 700s are red.
Not true. The GT-500 can also be red.
you spelled aqua "auqua" in the title
+Porsche Carrera GT Can't believe it took someone so long to notice. "Hilariously" was also misspelled. Thanks for pointing it out!
***** happy to help lol
+The Elevator Channel that car wash is pretty bad you should go back and get your money back
The Elevator Channel here is the link to my car wash video from yesterday
Well for 9 bucks lol 😂 the ones by ke r like 16 minimum for a premium! I hate the systems that do not do two rinse cycles especially the brush systems
Really poor hope you complained.
Ha ha ha half a clean car lol
The. Annoying. Car. Wash
