It’s a red thick lipped gourami. Very often misidentified as red honey gourami. They tend to lose the vibrant red and go a muted brown as they mature. The wild variety are better in terms f colour. They get bigger than honey gourami although remain relatively small and they’re very inquisitive. Only fish I’ve ever owned who will jump into a fish net to investigate it before casually swimming off
I've a pair of gouramis but don't know which species are they. They are brown in color with no spots and but the patterns are like something like dwarf gourami. Could you recon me what species it can be?
My best advice would be to take a picture and share it on this forum 👉🏻 forum.aquariumcoop.com/ It’s a great place to share information and hang out 👍🏻
I have a Dwarf, Honey and Gold Gourami on my planted Aquarium kinda made it worked to somehow them living all three of em on the same tank as long there's a lot of hiding place
Cool to note the 3 spot consists of gold, blue, opaline, platinum gourami as well. T. Trichopterus. All the same fish, just different color
That is a great point 👍🏻
#4 is the extinct Gourami
Yeah, apparently counting to 10 is beyond me 🤦🏻♂️
@@FishKeepingAnswers lol

Can this species of gourami exist in the same aquarium? Will it be viable?
Personally, I would only keep a single species of Gourami in a tank, but I can’t see why it wouldn’t work. Just have a plan B in case they fight 👍🏻
Great video dude! Do you have a personal favorite species of Corydoras?
Hey, thanks for the feedback. I am a Panda Cory fan. 😍
@@FishKeepingAnswers Of course! Panda Corydoras are lovely, I’ve never kept them personally (yet) but they are beautiful little fish.
They also breed in the community tank, meaning you start with half a dozen, and within a few months you have 30 or 40 🥰
@@FishKeepingAnswers Cory squad!
I had moonlight gourami which died today😢.. I miss that sweetheart
That’s sad to hear 😕
I had 5 and 6 gourami

Which one safe for neo shrimp?
None
best bet is T. Pumila (sparkling gourami) but even they will gang up and kill shrimp
The blue, gold, and opaline gourami are all the same species (Trichopodus trichopterus).
True 👍🏻

😂. Great question. Apparently count to 10 is outside my skill set 🤦🏻♂️
Is it Gourami fish and Betta fish are cousins?
They are both classed as Anabantoidei, so essentially yes 👍🏻
Where is no 4 Gourami?
Yeah, apparently I can’t count 🙄
I have 1 giant gourami❤
Is red robin a morph of honey gourami, Colisa chuna. No ugly giant gourami. Could have put everyone forward and him at #10 so you'd have a #4
This list does include some color morps. Thanks for the feedback 😉
red robin gourami is a morph of the thicklip gourami, colisa labiosa
