- The Lost Caverns of Ixalan Commander Decks have been fully spoiled and released, but which precon is worth the most from a card value perspective? I break down which of the four decks (Veloci-Ramp-Tor, Ahoy Mateys, Blood Rites, and Explorers of the Deep), is worth the most and some highlights from each.

I got the Merfolk deck because even though it's not high in card value, the deck itself is absolutely busted for a Pre-con, and upgrading it will make sure you lose all your friends.
Ok nice ... Just bought it in the hope to have finally a "normal" deck, but maybe it's just as fun as all my other decks i already have 😂
Just play more counterspells and its perfect
@asmoastro8487 It's very close to being my favorite deck. It's very heavily reliant on your Commander, but it's insane.
Got it for the same reason, shared the whole set with friends and had no problem picking the least value cuz every gameplay I saw it goes off once
@@sethschexneiderits actually not, i played with an upgraded version but still with a focus on exploring and even without the commander it works like a normal merfolk deck, its great, and the ramp is insane
Honeslty sounds like all of them are pretty damn solid
Just grabbed the Veloci-Ramp-Tor drck today, absolutely worth it
Idk if you’ve played a gishath deck before let me know if you prefer Gishath or the new commando!
@@bryanbutler5382 I haven't but I did pick up a Gishath in a trade with my friend. Might swap commands occasionally but most likely gonna stick with Pantlaza. My main deck is a Titania, Nature's Force, haven't actually played Dino tribal before lol
are they already out?
@@joejojo5966 yeah, they sell them at my work so managed to get staff discount on my deck :)
I've been playing blood rites since prerelease, and, value aside, it plays really well out of the box.
Bought all of them. No regrets.
Me too
Are there a lot of repeats when you buy all of them? How does that work? Asking as someone that is interested in doing the same.
@@JC-cb8oi No repeats. Ixalan's precons were special as they are quite strong out of the box. You could play them in a decent commander table and still have a fighting chance (the merfolk deck being quite strong). They are easy to upgrade and fun to play. I did the same for Karlov's Manor precons, but they were not at the same level as Ixalan's precons were. I got bored fast and they are now taken appart (at least they had good reprint value). But everything ends up as your choice. If you want all 4 go and get them, most of the time you wouldn't get dissapointed. (Ixalan Precons were great, Karlov's not so much, Thunder junction seems like fun but I haven't bought them because of product overload.)
@@norbertocaballero976 thank you so much! Appreciate all the insight. I bought Hail Caesar, but I live me some vampires. And the whole Latin/South American flair of Ixalan is attractive to me.
I got the set of 4 in the mail on the way.
blood rites is a really fun deck. you can make it pretty powerful with just a few quick swaps too
Which swaps to make it powerful?
im from the future, all of these precons were absolutely cracked and buying each at 70 dollars still gives you positive EV
I got the grixis one for “free” by trading in like 4 magic cards and 2 Pokémon cards i have essentially never touched 😎
Might get the Pirate deck black market connections is really cool
I love vampire tribal decks. Ill deff be getting blood rites
My wife got the Bloo Rites deck, made 8 modifications and it absolutely slaps
Got the Dino one and vampire as well
I’m glad I picked up the vampire deck when it first released cause now these decks have increased in price like crazy, especially the Dinos.. shit is sitting at $120+ on TCG player
Bought em all. They looked way to good to pass up A++ pre con decks !
Might try and pick up the blood rites. I like vampire stuff.
It's busted in the best way and the most fucking difficult deck I've played against yet lol
The deck value went down as of today. However the popularity of these decks have made most of stores out of stock. Easily customizable!
Got both explorers of the deep and velociramptor
I just found a velociramptor deck for $40 instead of $80 so grabbed that and I got the blood rites one early on for around $50 I think. Really love that decks and how focused it is, makes it easy to identify cards to upgrade with
They aren’t saying these are how much the decks cost to purchase, but instead how much the total value of every card in the deck is
@@nathanlowe5346 I understand that lol. Games stores are selling them for $80 and so is most of Amazon but I found one for $40 on Amazon so I grabbed it.
I got the dino deck and I got the vampire deck I have already redid the dino deck and made it worse than I already was and I fixed the vampire deck a little too
I ended up buying the veloci ramp tor deck
I work at an LGS and these prices are absolutely wild
These were the value of each card added together on launch day. Not the actual price to buy the product as a precon, that number isn’t useful and is just reading the price tag, instead of this which is a more detailed look at the cards inside.
Prices in america for commander decks are so expensive. In germany it is less than the half for each deck
I run Blood rites upgraded heavily, valued at $230 with my upgrades with more to come. But I bought the pirates one as well and just want to mention that now the ahoy mateys precon is around $60 in value after scanning them all into TCG Player after the card prices adjusted for the reprints. Still getting a slight profit but nowhere near what the video states. My Valociramptor is still valued at around $94 with a few minor cheap upgrades and my blood rites is so heavily upgraded I can't tell yoy what that precons value is but probably somewhere close to or around velociramptor. I never got the merdolk deck, too much blue for me lmao
I want all 4
Just got blood rites to retire my Edgar deck since everyone cries when they go against it
Hell. Take out Timothar of Bats and throw Edgar in there.
i kinda feel bad playing exquisite blood, but i still play it
When the price tag for each card is 50 cents. Meanwhile, the card quality is beat out by cards that cost 12 cents a piece.
Blood rites is absolutely busted especially if you upgrade. My wife hasn't lost yet after upgrading it
I got all of them
I know this was posted a month ago but the Dinosaur deck is beating the Vampire deck in value now
Maybe the dinosaur one
Why did they make the pirate commander a fat grandma?
Diversity
How much would blood rites be?
to buy the pre-con about 40 USD. i grabbed the merfolk one. pretty good out of the box.
MERFOLK GOT BETTER BABY!!
I would, if my LGS or BBS had them in stock. FFS.
Wtf? You can buy those for like 35-40€ over here. So why are the cards worth like 3x as much?
because the european markets are tanking right now , people selling up older prints for much less , so the reprints are even lower.
This is the price of each card individually separated sold as a single added together. Not the price you pay for the pre con.
@@Dusty.Reviews still. 3x as much sound a bit much. Because why not buy them all and sell them for a huge profit? Why are there even still some left at stores? Sounds like a scalper dream
@@S.G.21355 This video is old and the prices are hardly accurate. Right now of you pieced it out you'd make like $10-20ish after selling and shipping almost every card individually, not really worth the hassle unless you get a super cheap price initially for the precon which isn't easy to do, there are ways with connects or possibly from bulk buying or something. But yea it's hardly viable or everyone would do it. At best it could somewhat supplement your already churning card selling business.
Ok but which is more fun?
My favorite has been dinos, but I know that's not an uncommon take. Outside of that the Pirate deck is fun. Then after that it's a tie between Merfolk and Vampires which are both good, they're just not as much of my play style.
These deck prices hes metioning are all wrong..i was able to buy all 4 in a bundle deal for $140 at my lgs!
These were the value of each card added together on launch day. Not the actual price to buy the product as a precon, that number isn’t useful and is just reading the price tag, instead of this which is a more detailed look at the cards inside.
And it's gone .
They all dropped
Naw too broke
They ain’t worth that much
They should of put a cavern of souls in each one
Merfolk deck’s value is over $100… Where did you source the prices?
These are TCGPlayer market prices from shortly after release. Prices change over time.
lol bs! There is only two or three that has value the rest is 💩
