I started dashing with my husband 3 weeks ago for extra $ for vacations. We only dash for 2-3 days. Our goal is $250/week or 1k a month. My husband drives and I do the dashing. Good exercise. Good luck reaching your goals😊

I'm doing the same! We have a few vacations for the summer and it's a great way to pay off some debt or have extra money. It's a great way to spend some time together and do something productive ❤
@JodiPeacock I dash with my cousin that has an account too. But if I do it with my guy he drives and I do everything. It's so helpful to have a driver so you can watch your phone and not have to worry about turning off the car and locking it all the time.
Perhaps carry a marker or pen with you when picking up two or more orders from the same establishment. Write the names of customers on bags or (box for pizza) I've done this a few times to ensure orders are given to the correct customer.
Don't beat yourself up for delivery error. It happens to the best of us.
I am amazed at all you are doing. Vlogging with a go pro, driving picking up orders, and watching your phone. Messing up only one time in all the months you have been doing it is great. Best of all u cared! I have never ordered food. But one morning we walked out to our porch to find a bag of chic filet sitting on the floor. There was a guy standing out in his driveway looking for something. We picked up the bag and said did you order chic filet, and he said yes. Just as that happened the delivery driver showed back up. So its not just u. Just saying. I am sure it gets hectic and you get tired. Meaty Mama, you take care of your kids and work your but off! I am proud of you! Grandma Debbie! Doing door dash I had the bottom fall out of the chick fil A bag in the customer’s driveway!! Such a mess. I cleaned it up as best I could and the customer cancelled the order. I felt horrible. We are human. Stuff happens. Keep pushing through.

Don't feel bad. I dash with a pickup truck and I've done like 400 trips with Walmart or about 1000 drops. One time, I forgot to shut the tailgate of my truck and some customer's groceries wound up on the highway somewhere along with my tote that I carefully packed them in.

@@mrscheek7611 Driver support was really nice about it. They were like 'Don't worry about it. This happens more often than you think.' I don't know if they were nice about it because I had opted out of arbitration when I joined, or if my customer ratings had an impact. I have no idea. I was thankful they were understanding about. I thought that if they happened to kick me to the curb, I was prepared to deal with it.

My first day DD to pay off debt was yesterday. I spilled the large soda. Felt terrible bought them 2 bottles to hopefully make up for it. I messaged the person they never responded. Went to take picture and the items in bag shifted and spilled the drink. I refused every stacked order because too worried about messing up. Love your channel. It sounds like the employee at restaurant marked boxes incorrectly. You do a great job. Don’t beat yourself up.

If I understand the 2 orders that got mixed up, it was not you that got them mixed up. It was out of your control. Don't feel bad. I messed up once on 2 Chiptole orders. It WAS my fault and I felt terrible. It was one of the first stacks I had and got overwhelmed. lol.

Girl! I just have to tell you I just love to watch your videos! I feel like we have so much in common. I too am a single mom but I drive a garbage truck for my main job 12 hours a day then DoorDash 4 hours at night and on weekends! It’s so rough. I too am a Dave Ramsey follower and the struggles are real. Omg but TODAY you brought my motivation alive again with that song you played while doing that shopping order! That’s a very good sign with the crows because they are an excellent judge of character. They like you I saw this thing on mine about crows which really took me by surprise but then they tell all their friends what kind of a person we are just amazing. Nature works.😮🎉
I always call the restaurant when Uber gives me a bloated offer because it usually means it was unassigned because the restaurant doesn't have the food.

Pizza Hut is never ready..I agree! I mixed up orders once and freaked out. Got a 1 star rating out of it. Needed to slow down so better now.

Lol don't beat yourself up over the mixup delivery. I did it in my 2nd month of deliveries over a year ago. I was lucky that it was about a block from each other so I went back and switched the food. Now you bet I double check though. 😂

I know a guy that works for pizza hut and had a couple drivers accept orders while in there and then just bitched and moaned about having to wait another 15 to 20 minutes for the other order. That's why they put it up
Plus that makes the first delivery late, not good for the customer

Everybody messes up! We are all human! The main thing is that we learn from it. Sometimes nothing you can do will prevent it but most of the time we just get smarter about how to avoid problems.
I’m sorry that happened and it’s possible it was pizza huts fault not showing what else was in those 2 orders but the pizza. Pizza Hut needs to up their game, because they messed up an order I took also. The customer was pissed. She said she’s been waiting 2 hours for her food but I’m sure her order kept getting remade all that time because I got to her quickly and she tipped. I felt aweful for her. DoorDash had to refund her when I called for the customer. Don’t beat yourself up. It will be alright.
My son always select contactless delivery mostly because it’s late and I go get it in my pj’s 😂
I think if you click resume, instead of end or anything else; it gets rid of the loop. If you're talking about Door dash going from the count down screen to the screen before when youre trying to end you're dash to restart it.
I notice how some places secure their food from tampering eeally well and others don't. Especially drinks that need to be secured.
I've been dashing for 3 years and I've done the double order switcheroo screw up a couple times. Once wasn't really my fault, because the customer I dropped off to first didn't give me the correct name (his brother ordered it for him, he gave me his own name instead of the brother's and his own name was basically the same as the other customer's). Also, I gave the guy a pizza but he was supposed to get chipotle or something and HE DIDN"T SAY ANYTHING like, y'know, I think this is the wrong food.
The second time, the restaurant (Wendy's) didn't put the customers' names on the bags. The first customer was a young man (college student) about 19 or 20 years old. When I got to the second customer, I realized the mistake. I had her correct drinks/frosty but the wrong food. So I gave her the drinks, apologized, and said I'd be right back. The Wendy's was nearby and she hadn't ordered much, so I just went back and got her food and paid for it myself. It was my screw up and it only cost me a few dollars to fix it.
On the way back to the Wendy's, I had to drive past customer #1's (college student) house and I stopped and gave him the correct food. When he came to the door, I explained the mistake and handed him his correct food. This is where it gets kinda funny. He looked very sheepish and said he'd already eaten the first bag of food and, "Is that going to be a problem?" He was worried he'd be in trouble for eating the other customer's food! 😂 Also, I had only dropped off the food less than 5 minutes before. He must have absolutely inhaled it. But that's how 19 year old boys are. 😂 The look on his face when I told him it was fine and handed him a whole 'nother bag of food was priceless. He lit up like a Christmas tree. You'd have thought I just told him he won the lottery. He was so excited about that bag of food. I still laugh about it.

The reason why the restaurant doesn’t want you taking more than 1 order : You found out why. There’s too much room for error , whether it’s the restaurants fault or yours ….

Sometimes I wonder if Uber sends you for orders that are already taken, because they get angry when we turn down all their sorry orders. The last 2 days that I had stacked orders they didn't even show 2 orders that I delivered with the stacked orders. When I called support they gave some stupid answer about the taxes caused me not to get that pay.

The reason they dont like double orders becomes they get mixed up. I always check the name against the address & name when I arrive to prevent that. Just check the name on the app and then on the box.
I messed up a stacked order once. Am usually very organized. My head just wasn’t in the game that day. Gave the wrong food to the first customers. I felt terrible. It was my error- 100%. I know it feels bad- sorry that happened. I don’t think it was your fault. Hope you were able to let it go. ❤
I delivered groceries once to the wrong house. I had two Instacarts. I was like OMG. I usually only take one Instacart at a time. I took two of them today and had two bags for them. Order A and Order B. I can’t get confusing really quick. Especially if they start messaging you. I have picked up UE before and they will have me deliver the add on first. I’m like. That isn’t right. And you can get confused quick.

I think with Pizza Hut, as soon as they receive the order, the request for a driver goes out at the same time. Usually I'm only a minute away. When it's busy though, I may be 10 mins away and it works out that I only wait a few minutes.

I was kicking myself for days and It was maybe my 5th or 6th delivery ever! I promised to never do it again, but I'm sure I have. I just didn't take it as hard as the first time. Most people just want their food. As long as they're food isn't messed with, I wouldn't stress about it. NEFFEX has some very nice music. I use it all the time in my videos. I got an order from UE that was similar to yours like $20 for 3 miles or something like that. Of course I was disappointed when I got there and they said someone had already picked it up. I think it’s a glitch with UE!
It’s not a glitch, the rider before you didn’t swipe ‘collect order’ in other words they stole the food so the order continues to bounce around other available riders

I am new to your channel and only used Door Dash once while on vacation in Alaska 2 weeks ago. Can you explain what it means when a dollar figure shows on your phone but says guaranteed tip included. Is that dollar figure your tip or the food order total?

Dang, I would never take any order that's at least $2 per mile unless it brings me back to my hotspot.
I would love hearing how many total deliveries, then total hours and money made. The # of total deliveries helps to understand whether you are doing better or not.
If the name wasn't where you could see it then they messed it up. Of course they could have put the wrong pizza in the wrong box as well.
I had the restaurant switch orders they basically was told by doordash to make me deliver without sending the order to my phone the first customer caught me before I left the drive way. Turned out there was half of each customers' meals in each bag. Thankfully it was Lee's chicken and they tape nothing shut
If the delivery was already picked up and ppl keep getting it, that means the driver likely stole the order.
Did you guys get an email from DD stating the new acceptance rate will be 90 or above? Apparently if we don’t keep it at 90% they are going to remove us from the platform. In March is when it begins. Is this legal? Im in Jacksonville Florida. We are using our own cars how in the world can they do this w the low ball offers.

Just tell them you have to take a picture for the app and snap a picture of them holding the food instead of the picture at the door.

@@themeatymama just my perception I guess. I think if you took a hard look at the times you've posted trips you've rejected on UE, it is way higher than what you reject on DD.
In my experience, people on UE tip better.
I think that's just because UE sends me a lot more orders than DD does.

I got a DoorDash contract violation for being late because I got gas and went to Gamestop to buy a game before going to the pickup 😂 Still disputing it.

I had that happen once and then twice I had a late Dunkin order I knew they would be out of donuts. I got the $3. I’m like sure whatever. Uber eats has been so bad lately. Little pay for ‘Far…far..away”. I could get some shrek stickers or something. Yes, you are ‘far, far, away - congratulations”. 😂
Did the customer who got the wrong order give you back the previous order? If so, then at least you got free food for yourself.
Meaty Mama youre supposed to call the customer if they have delivered there order. Somtimes what happens is that that rogue drivers will cancel the order once in the vehicle because a low offer that is reason you got 19$ because uber highers the pay on cancellations you should have asked for a remake
You had to take off work to make more money for dashing. I hope you were not scheduled at a full time job. That would show that hourly wages are not enough to live off of.
I can kinda see the thinking behind the waiting for another pizza or order because the first person's order is going to be older and colder and they probably get lots of complaints and have to give refunds for cold food. I've had this happen to me at Taco Bell and it actually took a whole hour and before the dude got his second order and had that one in his car and was able to leave I had to cancel it, I told him don't be coming to my door with those hour-old tacos which will have been all soggy by then. Sorry but no bag is going to keep those fresh both hot and cold ingredients in a taco. Not paying $30 for soggy tacos! And I know there is an option to get it "faster" but you have to pay for it and I'm sorry but that is BS. Every order should be delivered fast and at the temperature it should be, I tip very well and looking at these tips or non-tippers on your videos makes me sick! All I'm asking for is hot fresh food as good as if I went and got it myself, right there and right back.
