    I would cut and wrap a 1/16" thick (or thicker) Styrofoam around the flash to protect it. Enclose it with hair band, or wide rubber band to hold it into place. But make sure the sensor, flash, and the buttons are not covered up.

    I believe from a durability standpoint, the AD200 and AD200Pro are the same (same casing). I believe only the internals might be different (ie. the AD200Pro can handle more bursts at full power before overheating) and things like that, but for the most part, they are the same. I would say that if you don't burst shoot a lot, the AD200 on sale could be the better value as it seems to be about $50-60 less than the AD200Pro. If you're a working pro doing a lot of shooting, then the AD200Pro may make sense. Both are not the most durable lights out there, but for the money, they do offer a lot of the features of bigger lights that cost more. Portability is the AD200/AD200Pro's biggest asset.

    I really like the AD200. Its power, pricepoint and design are fantastic for a range of applications when a speedlight isnt quite enough, and you dont need power of a 500/600 watt head. However, they are NOT built tough. They will not take a drop from any height onto any surface, so need to be very careful when mounted on stands. As a precaution, in many situations, I will use with the EC-200 extension head, so that the AD200 can be mounted at base of stand and somewhat protected from impact in the event the stand topples over. I haven't used the AD200PRO, but even with the new design, I suspect it is just as fragile and needs to be used with care.

    You are right that the menus are slightly improved, however, I am not sure how many would ever look at the menu after making sure it is in the right channel and group. • @OmaGhomrawi
      @OmaGhomrawi  5 лет назад +2

      It depends on the focal length. I use it as a fill light at full or half power with 90cm octagonal softbox when the sun is acting as a backlight.
      I don't believe it works well if the sun is on a side and you like to fill the other one.
      It's not strong enough in day light to make extreme separation with underexposed background.

    • @markstanley2001
      @markstanley2001 5 лет назад +7

      It all depends on how far away the flash is to the subject, and if any modifier is used. A speedlight in a softbox has enough power to compete with the sun's exposure, if placed close enough to the subject... it all depends. Especially if using flash without HSS which greatly reduces flash output. BUT, in real terms, when using a flash with any type of modifier I would suggest going with AD600. You can never have too much power when it comes to using flash outdoors. You can always turn flash power down. If you dont have enough power, your only option is to move light closer.

      Austine Odhiambo i use adobe premiere for video editing and adobe after effects for Motion Graphics.
      Unfortunately, I dont get much views for tutorial videos. I don’t know why!
      So I decided to suspend these kind of videos until I have maybe more than 10k subscribers cause Im gonna be wasting time now.
      I find Lenses and cameras videos likey to have more hits.
