    Thank you for taking the time and trouble to travel to Costco for us, as you say, so we dont have to!!! Ignore the negative reviews. It's clear that you're learning, and I'm sure each and every future video will be better and better. Courage, mon ami!!! Salutations de Dublin, Irlande, là où Costco n'existe pas. 😊😊

    I am an American who lives near Stuttgart Germany and last April (2023), I decided to rent a car so that I could make the 5.5hour one-way drive to the exact same Costco you went to in Pontault-Coumbalt. I really liked the experience, but I had to polish up my French in order to order "Poulet avec Frites" at the food counter. I ended up spending €700 worth of stuff that I hauled back to Germany. I plan another visit this April.
    While there, I also visited a Chinese restaurant called "Let Petite Bao" in the 2nd Arrondissement of Paris where they serve up Xiao Long Bao with sliced truffles. I also visited Monnaie de Paris on the south bank of the Seine, but dropped way more Euros there than at Costco. :-D

      Can you tell me if they have the big bottles of Franks Red Hot or Tabasco sauce? I live in Karlsruhe and tend to drive to London in order to go to Costco, however i think next time it will be Paris as its a "shorter" journey...

      @MrDennis170 I don't recall if the Paris one had the large bottles, but I have been to the Costco near Heathrow Airport before. Also, I know that Edeka sometimes has Franks Red Hots and Tabasco in the normal sized bottles.

    Location of the two Costco around Paris might come from market studies and local population. Suburbs up North are more poor with migrants and more insecurity. For Paris, they could have one more on the West side, like Maison Laffite. And one in the Cote d’Azur would be nice too. Aix en Provence maybe.

You past everything too fast and did Not show-explain the items, looking for what is different there and to compare specific item that you find on both countries on price; in general compare how expensive is the life there and their different food.

    I don't think I would ever buy Dunkin' in a box at some place other than Dunkin' - guessing there's a freshness issue
    It looked basically the same, although perhaps a little smaller - prices a mix of some higher, some lower, but probably a wash
    Have never waited in a line like that at Costco US - didn't see any self checkout lines, maybe that contributes?
    Not offering a free refill à l’américaine is one thing ... but enlisting a machine to cut you off mid pour seems a bit rude!! haha!

    Eggs not refrigerated? Is this like Europe's shelf-stable milk?

    • @amuni.travel
      @amuni.travel  11 месяцев назад +7

      Eggs are naturally shelf-stable. To clean eggs, in the US and Canada, they spray them with a jet of water that removes a natural protective outer coating, making them more susceptible to warm temperatures. In Europe (and most of the world) they don’t use this method, allowing you to keep eggs fresh at room temp

    The pizza is sad,😢super thick soggy pizza crust, chicken bake is slimy and bland; gross. They always squeeze the buns when wrapping the hotdogs and their mustard doesn’t pair well with hotdogs. The people who work at the food court are pretty nice but the system is efficient, hence chaotic. My least favorites are the cashiers who are often rude and always talk to each other instead of providing friendly customer service. that’s France 🇫🇷🤣get used to it or get out . C’est la vie!😂

    • @Josian-ps7fb
      @Josian-ps7fb 6 месяцев назад

      @@Sayitlikitiz101 Isn't that interesting? As a French dude, I think it might be mostly a cultural reaction.
      I think it's phrased like this because in France, and maybe in many other European countries, it's simply what you're told by your parents, or adults, when as a child you eat without closing your mouth, or you want to talk even if you have some food in your mouth. "Don't talk when your mouth is full", "don't speak when you're eating", and so on. Here it's the same level of education than if you were farting and then laughing around, both noisily, as an adult guy, so to speak. It's hammered when you're a child, so you just have the habit not to do it, without even thinking. It just must NOT be done.
      But I agree it's strange to write it this way in a comment section. The problem with comments is that there is so less nuances than face to face, cause your tone, and your facial expressions, your eyes too, are missing to bring nuances.
