I saw great potential in utilizing the Stitches while playing Tainted Forgotten. Due to its relatively short recharging time it can be used to safely move the skeleton with the soul hiding on obstacles much more than usual, or aggressively telefrag the skeleton into an enemy horde/a boss to save time and reduce risk. Might be among the best active for Tainted Forgotten, pretty sure that not the only one though
I have a bit of an odd request. I learned accidentally that getting a crawl space or black market during the knife piece 2 escape sequence allows you to have your items while she is still chasing you. Since there you have access to items like shark straw and mothers shadow technally has HP, is it possible to kill her?
How did you get one of those? You have no acess to bombs, keys and cards that you collected previously while your character resets back to their starting form. Only thing that you can keep is your either boosted or decreased health pool

You can also enter cursed rooms safely with this item. Due to his high utility and his number of uses, and bonus points because it's fun to use, i will give it a S tier.
More like high A. S are run carry items, in my opinion only echo chamber, book of revelations, satanic bible and sacred heart belong there. Maby Hypercoagulation too if you're playing the right character.

It's a slightly shittier "How to Jump" (Get past walls/over holes, but with longer cooldown) It's a slightly shittier "???'s Only Friend" (Controllable contact-damage familiar) It's a slightly shittier "Leo" (Can't break rocks, but you can pop fires, and hangmen) It's a slightly better "Breath of Life" (Free brief invulnerability) It's a slightly better "Ventrical Razor" (Instant teleport to specific spot, but only in current room) And on top of all that, you can use it to insta-kill most lower-tier enemies.
@@ghoulbuster1 D6 is good to find better items and then ditch when you find a better active. It definitly helps to find broken items. The nerf to batterys hurt it for sure though.
Quick tip. You can also go through sacrifice rooms without taking damage, for this you have to align stitches in the middle of the door, then start walking to the wall where the door is, then just tp while you're still walking and boom. Done this a bunch of times so I'm fairly sure its possible as long as you align it right
Just had a run as tainted forgotten. Found gnawed leaf in boss rush. Didn’t think much of it, then realization struck. You can carry the bones around while staying completely invulnerable. The only thing that counts as ‘movement’ is attacking and using consumables. If you have an orbital you can freely take out any boss in the game. Gnawed leaf and the virus hard carried me through the hush fight, and by the time I got to delirium I had an orbital, just ran into the boss with my infinite I-frames and contact damage. Absolutely busted
Jeez, I thought it was a good item when I thought it was just a teleport. I didn't realize it had offensive use, too. And strong offensive use at that!
Pretty cool item. Wish there were more of these and less of crappy lemonades and range ups that do nothing but screw you by polluting your item selection.
You can also enter to curse rooms if you move the familiar to the direction at the same time you walk in and teleport before hitting the door (sorry bad english)
It honestly makes sense why the forgotten does teleport with his soul but the tainted forgotten doesn’t the forgotten still has his soul linked to his body well the tainted forgotten doesn’t,
Didnt know that you could telefrag enemies with it. i thought it was just a meh item that let you teleport to stuff and maybe damange enemies in a room like the blue fly but this makes it a hell lot better actually.

Another item synergy with stitches is that with BFFs he shoots out a ring of tears when you teleport

fun fact: the formula for stiches' telefrag damage is 3x+40 (x is your tear damage)
40 being the damage ipecac does, so that's certainly quite nice.
40 is the base amount that high-damage stuff deals, other examples being the necronomicon, black hearths, and bombs

Stitches in anti-birth used to just bounce around the room instead of being player controlled.
You can teleport for free to a sacrifice room too, you need to teleport on the door and enter quickly so the game doesn´t have time to damage you
prob just a mistake but if you dont know thats a curse room, not a sacrafice room.

If this item is gotten via metronome fhe familiar is able to be controlled and does contact damage however you are not allowed to teleport

How does Tainted Maggie work with Stitches? Does her melee attack activate along with the telefrag?
If you use stitches while it’s on the entrance to a curse room, will you still take damage or will you be able to go through damage-free?
You can use it to safely get in out of cursed rooms (the spiked doorways) because of the invul you get from the teleport.
