I graduated from the same high school R. Kelly attended and it was a rumor that he picked up girls and paid their parents, the parents who allowed this should be held accountable for this too. This happened in mid/late 90s and early 2000s and I graduated in 2000. I watched it because I was interested in what these individuals had to say. But by listening to them I heard my own story that I tried to block for years. Essentially, I was molested by someone 14 yrs my senior. I was 14 and he was 28...I thought I loved him. I knew I had a mad crush on him. He knew that. He told me his “darkest secrets”. He became my best friend. He made my parents feel comfortable with me being around him. One day I was over his house w/o my parents knowledge...we kissed and he gave me oral sex. I pleasured him by playing with his penis. I had no idea what I was doing (was still a virgin). Point is, Essentially I knew what I was doing. But one day...I sat back and realized that if I had a daughter who was 14 and I found out that the some grown man was giving my daughter oral sex....OMG!! There would be some slow singing, flower bringing and smoke in the city. Teenagers really don’t understand what they do until they get older and wiser. It’s a tough pill to swallow that I was victim. To this day, I’m still afraid to mention it to my parents (and I’m 30 yrs old now) and to his family (who happen to be dear friends of mine).
