Product Setup SMS Commands:
1. Set control number：
Command: Number+pass+blank+serial
Sample: 139504434650000 1
13950443465 is mobile number, 0000 is password, 1 is serial means the first number.
When the tracker reply “SET OK” means the setting is ok.
You can set the second and third control number also.
2. Change Password
Command: 777+New Password+Old password
Sample: 77712340000
The 1234 is new password, and 0000 is old password.
When ST-901 received the command, it will reply SET OK
3. Get location with Google link
Command: 669+password
Sample: 6690000
When ST-901 receives the command, it will read the GPS data, and send back the location with Google link; you
can open the link to check the tracker location on maps.
4. Change Time Zone
Command: 896+password+Blank+E/W+HH
Sample: 8960000 E5.5 (INDIA +5.30)
E means East, W means west, 00 mean time zone.
Reply: SET OK
5. Over speed Alarm (send Alarm to control numbers)
Command: 122＋Blank+XXX
Sample: 1220000 120
Reply: SET OK
The XXX is the speed, from 0 to 999, the unit is KM/H.
If the XXX is 0, it means close the over speed alarm.
6. Shock Alarm (send SMS alarm to the first number)
Open Shock Alarm: 181+password+T
Sample: 1810000T10
Reply: SET OK
The T meaning shocking time, the unit is second,
It from 0 to 120 senconds.
Close Shock Alarm: 180+password
Sample: 1800000
Reply: SET OK
7. Set APN
Command 1: 803+password+Blank+APN
Sample: 8030000 airtelgprs.com
Reply: SET OK

I do not understand how this frequently sold device do not have a support forum to discus problems? I am having an issue that often the sim card stops trasmiting in Gprs. ( If i put the card in smart phone - it works on 2g but not in st901) . Solution is the change the sim card. Any idea on this?

I have a question: Does this device go into "sleep mode" when the vehicle is detected as stationary? And if so, how long before it does so?
I don't really need to be sent the location of a stationary vehicle every 30 seconds for the 15 hours per day that the vehicle spends parked.
It goes into sleep mode. And activates when motion detected.

2. I didn't connect it from bike as it had some power and led were blinking.
3. both had no balance but had internet.
4. how to get to know if the apn is setup.
5. when I dialed the no. it was not reachable.

Hi, your video was very useful and i appreciated the time you took making it. However, i really need an answer to the following question.
How much data will it consume if i check the location once a day via sms only (without conecting it to the server)? I really need the answer so i know what kind of data plan do i need for the SIM. Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the feedback. For full month, with constant usage and frequent location checking, it consumed 6mb data approximately. If u r using only sms then 0 data
If I want to only use SMS commands and not 3G network (I have a 2$/month plan for unlimited SMS and 1h calls) I don't want to be charged for 3G consumption.

How I could avail of group user since I have two unit one for each vehicle. My sino tracker GPS are using sim and I am obliged to load both once a month. Thanks for the great help.
You need to contact the seller for this as they can help you with joining both the gps units with single account in server. Hope my answer helped.

Settings are there. If u want it to sleep, u can set it like that. If u want it to keep it on, then u can set it like that as well..

Hi bought 3G version of Sino Track st-901 with battery and installed airtel 4G sim in it. After placing the sim into it ...the lights got blinked some time after that I'm unable to see any lights blinking in the device (Note: device not connected to any external source or to any bike battery) In the android app when I click on device the ID is showing Not Active.. Please assist me.. is it a device issue or I'm missing something?? And tried the commands also but I'm not getting any reply..
Charge the battery by connecting it to the bike battery or any external source. No leds glowing that means battery has died. Charge it fully and then see. Thanks

hello everyone,
after setting the device correctly, I was able to monitor it from the app and it works fine but as soon as I disconnect it from the vehicle battery the battery inside the device works for an hour after it turns off. since I feed it with the vehicle battery, the device turns on, responds to messages but I can no longer monitor it via the app anymore. he tells me the device is offline.
has anyone had the same problem? I hope to find the solution

U need to load credit in sim. Without data or sms it wont work. You need to insert sim for gps to work. U can either use message or data or both.. Options can be selected via sms or app

Hi, please make sure that you have a working internet plan on your sim card. Secondly, check whether the GPS is connected properly to bike's battery terminals. Thirdly, try keeping the bike in an open space for sometime, where there is no disturbance to receive or send GPS signals to/from the satellites. Let us know if that works :)

Hi, thanks for the video, I am having problem in logging in using the app, it always says incorrect ID or password. I use the ID number sticked on the body of the gps then the default password, but always the same error, I use other app also, still the same. What could be the problem?
Use the details mentioned in the manual that came with the box. There are different variants of this same gps. Many chinese gps are copying this whole sysyem and unit. So they might look same, but vary in software, server and app credentials. Use the one which is mentioned in the user manual specifically provided in your box.
How much data does it use? Is it possible to only send alerts when asked by sms?
It needs approx 70mb data for a month. Yes it can send alerts only on sms

So what if I dont buy credit for my sim card and then when my car is stolen I buy the credit for my sim card through online banking then request for it. Basically I don't want to keep buying credit.

If i wrote SMS with command RCONF i received full configuration with password, ever if i using number which is not defined as control number. This is big security issue. After that I could change configuration and get control on not mine GPS tracker. Is anybody know how to switch off get location by phone function? Is any firmware update?

It should be constantly connected to battery and it will not drain the battery. If the vehicle stands idle for long time, to make sure to start the vehicle atleast once a week for 10mins. Thats enough to keep it going.

U just need to connect it to vehicle battery. Plz watch the video.
It comes with inbuilt battery which is just for emergency situations and will last for just 4-5 hrs, best case scenario
