    And I would probably have doubled the seam allowance by accident, LOL. Also, great warning about enlarging/decreasing and having the appropriate markings on the ruler. Your being a teacher is shinning through - Thank you! :)

    Thank you so much for sharing this! I've been struggling to reduce a block, and couldn't figure out what was wrong.... The seam allowance! Of course!! Thank you for saving my sanity, and saving my quilting project!!!

    Excellent demo, very clear and logical! I’ve never enlarged a block. Had an “aha” right off when you said the first thing to do is to subtract the half inch before multiplying or dividing. Perfectly logical, but I would have left out that step. Thanks for saving me from cutting all the pieces incorrectly!
