With a playback speed of 1.25, it comes closer to the original Aerosmith tempo. Sounds very nice and funky both ways.
If you change the speed right about the 2:30 point, it leads into the guitar solo really nicely.

Judith Hill is an Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Janis Joplin, Prince and god knows what else Frankenstein creation. I love the grit in her voice and her choices are flawless. She should be selling out stadiums.

Aerosmith cover? Walk this way? I came in all skeptical. Left way disappointed with the arrangement... Fortunately, always a silver lining. It didn't need music. This woman could've sang it Acapella and brought the house down. Where has she been all my life... lol. Brilliant vocals!!
I think the arrangement was an intentional minimalistic funk approach focusing attention on the incredible vocals...and then the kick at the end.....way more impactful. Love the improve. Jmho.

Ryan’s sparse, choice licks in the background are the unsung hero of this take. The note choice, the timing, the feel, everything. If I came up with just one of those, I’d be stoked. What he’s doing is deceptively tricky because he could move from the back to the front for too long, but he doesn’t! Just amazing.

Are you a drummer? Let me teach you the trick. Put a piece of paper -- a regular old piece of paper -- right down on the snare head. Add a few, take a few away, depending. Tune the drum down. Loosen the snares a bit. You're welcome.

WHOOOO! This is one BAAADDD cover! It hits all the right spots. The funk is soo strong in this one. I was groovin' and swaying and had a stank face on the whole time . With each video I watch, I'm always blown away by the AMAZING outcome of people that get together that really know music, along with singers that also get what they're going for and kill it.
