I miss the days when you could just lipslide a bench and that was a good trick. not to say that today's kids aren't killing it, but I see them at the park these days working on, say, hardflip b/s lip revert out and I'm like wtf
Done with style a lipslide on a bench is still better than a tech trick without style even in 2018. Style is everything especially now when anything goes and every kid is as good as Koston used to be
Lipslideas are still sick. It's style and determination in body language and being in your trick that makes it have soul. It's like a Picasso painting next to a Pollock painting. Two great painters, different subjects, different power, different styles . Soul is behind every trick done with the person looking at the trick being done and it exciting them.
And no pro skater's favourite skater is some skater that can do some crazy tech trick. It's always style and the skaters that are flowing through everything and everywhere using skating 'trick$' as stylish manoeuvers to get through places and enjoying movement in the body and of the board
say what you will; I still get stoked watching Gino push and Gonz frontside boardslide. Too much tech is kind of a blur, and if I have to see one more kickflip bs lipslide at an x-games final ima hurl
this VHS tape also had Randy Colvin.
glory dayz ....forever
i was looking for some old dune footage! thanks.... gonna go buy the babysitting reissue deck NOW!
What a gem, my favorite era and I'd never seen or heard of this before! Whoever filmed this did a great job, too. Thanks for the upload!
Great style and tricks. The cab over the bench is still nutty!
HA! ~ I bet that's Jason Lee's mini ramp. . .
