Copenhagen - MUST see places to explore

Recommendations and tips on what to see in Copenhagen for a short weekend stay. See the changing of the guards at Amalienborg Palace, the Danish crown jewels in Rosenborg Castle, enjoy a ride or two at Tivoli Gardens, brave the outside spiral steps of the Church of our Saviour, or just grab a drink by the water in Nyhavn. Copenhagen is a beautiful city that's easy to get around (try a bike or boat tour), has amazing food (see my blog for recommendations), and of course has the one and only Little Mermaid statue :)
If you have time, it's also worth dropping by the Freetown of Christiania - an unusual, breakaway commune that has its own, separate rules and culture from the rest of Copenhagen and Denmark!
